Expect long long queue from 6.30am onwards. Super chewy texture that resembles tapioca cake with slightly charred skin & very very generous peanut filling. Round pancakes left with limited quantities & flavour by 7.15am. Queue time: 45 minutes

Peanuts are grounded by the uncle weekly and the dough to make the pancake uses a yeast rather than just baking powder. That’s why the cake itself is a little chewy but full of flavor. Gets crowded after 830-9am so go early if possible.

My fav Min Jiang Kueh, never stop craving for it. Whenever I am here, I will buy for breakfast, keep some for afternoon snack and supper in the evening. . Location: Tanglin Halt Original Peanut Pan Cake, 48A Tanglin Halt Rd, Singapore 148813

This elderly couple make the best peanut pancake in Singapore! Been patronage their humble stall since I was a kid and never get sick of it and it was that good. Best eaten fresh and hot when corner crust is crispy and the inner is gooey with sugar peanut. I really hope they live a long healthy life and continue to make such delicious pancakes. Can notice auntie quite tired from waking up so early to set up the stall. Maybe can consider operating the stall at a later time instead. And for those who find their pancake average, please don't come to tanglin halt market again so that I no need to queue for so long lol..

Expect long queues and go early in the morning if you don’t want to miss it. Pancake texture is very chewy and the edges were not crispy enough - perhaps it is because I had it to go. While I like my mjk softer, some might like a chewier mouth feel so it’s really up to your own preference. I guess a positive point that everyone can agree on would be that they are very generous with the peanut filling which is great. Overall, this is worth a try but I would not wake up early and queue for it again.

If you are someone who loves peanut cake and the Mr. Bean type of round pancakes, you would definitely like this place. The MJK itself is very warm and have lots of peanut, which is quite a sincerely done MJK. As for the round pancakes, yam was sold out and did not get to try. Ordered the other flavours each. The black sesame is my favourite, but the green bean tasted very sweet and not green bean-ish, more like a pandan-coconut-kaya-jamish type taste.

Kudos to the auntie and uncle for making such delicious and heartwarming pancakes! Now I understand why people could queue 30mins for this. The warm pancake is stuffed with peanuts and they are not too sweet. Would definitely come here again before the area gets demolished…

Fresh off the pan. Very first slice of the day. Ah gong and Ah ma were slowly getting ready as I beat any possible crowd, by arriving at 0340hrs. Seated steps from the stall patiently swiping my mobile, up til the aroma of steaming pancake competed with the wet market had my attention. Ah ma flicked the switch to light up their signboard at approximately 0415hrs. Warm chewy gooey goodness sandwiching a big heap of crushed peanut, very lightly sweetened with white granulated sugar. A smallish 2 bite portion for 80 cents. Not the crispy crust type. Nevertheless very addictive.
