Actually, LRT staff built this station as they hope that this area will one day be much more developed and people can take LRT all the way to Punggol.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Teck Lee LRT is definitely has a strange story to tell. It was built back in 2002 and was supposed to be opened in the same year that its built. However, demand for housing fell short and they decided to close the LRT till its deemed useful for nearby future residents. One downside of leaving it abandoned is the fact that the LRT station is slowly falling apart gradually.
Without proper maintenance on the building, it could be a future issue to the LRT line when a train passes by a weak structural point.
