β β β β β I desperately needed a hair cut before my new job next week. Walked by the salon and meet Shin. He is very detailed in asking what I wanted. Wanting a new look, I asked him to recommend hair colour to complement my skin colour. Iβm glad to have followed his recommendationβ¦ green may sound weird but I love how it turns out. Will definitely be back to look for him

β β β β β It was my first visit to the salon and Tom cut my hair. He is very professional and definitely an expert. He keeps himself up-to-date with regular stints to Japan to train. He gave me a trendy bob which I had requested for and also tips on how to style and maintain it. I felt comfortable as Tom was very friendly and did not engage in any hard selling.

β β β β β My second time back at The Base Salon. Previously had my hair done by hair stylist Aiden, where I had rebonding at the top and perming at the bottom and the curls lasted very long! Happy with his professional service and decided to come back again to get my hair done by him again! Price is reasonable too and I'm happy to be back again :)

β β β β β Went to this salon for many years, previously my hair was handled by a staff called mike but he left sometime ago. Tracy is the current hairdresser that handled my hair. Before CNY done a Korean wave perm and colouring (see pic)... thanks to tracey, i have a new look and new colouring to my hair. Very comfortable to cut hair at based salon, she is very helpful in providing hair-do/styling tips and hair-care products. Most importantly the staff are not into hard selling.

β β β β β 5 star service and hair cuts. Especially from shin, a hairdresser who really knows his craft.
Prices may be a little bit on the pricier side for a neighbourhood hairdressers, but the quality is excellent, better than some higher-end places which charge higher. Furthermore, you get to enjoy top facilities (e.g. Dyson hairdryers, branded shampoos) in a nice, recently renovated salon.

β β β β β Cut my hair and did a digital perm here! Wanted to go for the Korean wave perm look and Iβm really satisfied with the cut and perm done by Shin ?? He was recommended to me by my friend! He is very thorough and skilled - The perm was just like what I wanted it to be & not too curly :-) Price is reasonable too ?????? second pic is the end result after the perm has settled down. Very happy with my whole experience here, will be back!!

β β β β β I has been hesitate to cut my hair very short! After considering for so long I finally went to The Base Salon and get it cut. I would like to thanks Tom for cutting and even choose the hair colour for me. He is super professional and a cheerful hairstylist. Even how busy he is, he really never fail me. Iβm really happy with my new hairstyle. Once again thank you so much. I surely will come back again and recommend to my friends.

β β β β β Finally decided to cut my frizzy naturally curly hair short after trying to grow it long unsuccessfully for the past 3 years. Wanted an affordable hair salon nearby as short hair requires regular maintenance. Am so glad I took a chance on Tom after reading the reviews here. He is a master in his art. He listens well and happily dispenses tips and shares his knowledge without prompting. Put your trust in his skills and talent, and be ready for a dramatic makeover. He is da man.
