The Brain & Spine Clinic - Dr Timothy Lee - #03-38 Annexe Block

Back in 2011 when I was diagnosed with a brain tumour, I was very afraid and at a lost. By God's grace, Dr Timothy Lee was my neurosurgeon then. Throughout my journey towards recovery, he was always a calming influence and made sure that my family and myself stay positive. He assured us that everything will be fine. Dr Timothy had also always shown exemplary knowledge and skills during my procedures and appointments with him. Today, I'm perfectly healthy and free from any medical ailments and will like to extend my utmost gratitude to Dr Timothy. Definitely the best neurosurgeon one could ask for!

On 28 Oct 2020, my wife suddenly suffered a massive Brain Hemorrhage in our car.  I immediately rushed her to the nearest Mt Alvenia Hospital. Dr Timothy Lee managed to drive from his clinic at Gleneagles Hospital to Mt Alvenia Hospital (about 7.8km) within 20 mins during Wed peak hours at around 6pm. He managed to put the Ventilator into my wife's throat just in time before she went into coma. He told me that he needed to operate on my wife within an hour in order to save her. However, there were 2 problems... my wife BP was 230 & the OT needed 30 mins to prepare. Miraculously, her BP dropped to 160 & Dr Lee could operate on her shortly after 7pm. The operation was successful. My wife was in ICU for 33 days & 4 weeks in normal ward. In my 22 years career in the Insurance Industry, I have encountered many Doctors & Specialists. I would confidently vouch that Dr Lee is definitely & undoubtedly the most dedicated, competent, helpful & friendliest Specialist I have ever met. He would check on my wife at least twice a day everyday regardless of his super busy schedules. He managed to gather a team of Specialists on Sun night at 9pm to do a minor checking procedure (no abnormality found) just to put his concern to rest. Any other Specialist would have waited til Mon or other weekdays. He used his fingers to dig out hard stool from my wife instead of asking the nurses to do it. In May 2021, 7 months after, my wife was able to walk by herself with the help of a Quad Cane. Currently, she is continuing with her rehabilitation & we trust God for her full restoration. We are forever thankful & grateful to God for sending Dr Timothy Lee to save my wife in the nick of time.

For the past few years I have been suffering from severe lower back pain that resulted in very restricted movement and unable to turn while sleeping/walk/stand without assistance, sometimes it worsens to a bent crooked back. Despite numerous visits to orthopaedic specialist, chirapactic, tcm, acupuncture, physiotherapy, being hospitalised and plasma treatment, none could find out the right diagnosis nor resolve my problem at all. He referred me to do 3 other tests to further determine it & was accurate after referring to the scans results. Dr Lee also gave a detailed explanation of my injury with references & drawings. I immediately knew I was in good hands. Dr Lee's professionalism, thorough treatment advises gave me the confidence to go forward with surgery. After surgery, I felt very minimal pain and could immediately felt the tremendous improvement on my lower back. Dr Timothy Lee's attention to details, care, patience towards me really made me felt very well taken care of and has definitely given me new lease of life & hope. My most heartfelt gratitude towards Dr Lee and thank you very much for making me well again. Dr Lee is certainly the most respected and responsible doctor I have ever seen.

I am also very impressed by his kindness, patience and empathy and he was oblivious to the running time during my first consultation with him, taking pains to explain to me my conditions, my options, and taking the trouble to show me slides of such a condition and assuring me that he had many times successfully operated on to calm my fear as he sensed my anxieties. The operation was very successful and most, if not all, of the tumor had been removed. Dr Lee is still following up on me after so many years and he is always very careful in scrutinising through the MRI images and prints to make sure things are alright. Dr Timothy Lee is a brilliant surgeon, though a man of few words. He has a very busy practice as he is highly recommended.

My wife was operated by Dr Timothy Lee in Mt Alvernia Hospital more than ten years ago to excise a benign brain tumor (meningioma). The surgery run smoothly despite the fact that the tumor was in a close proximity with the blood vessel. Until now my wife is in a good condition and her recent MRI showed no recurrency of the tumor. It is nearly a year ago that I had the first operation in my life. My pain in my back, shooting down my thighs first started in jan 2020. It was treated like an exercise injuries and I tried for more then a year everything prescribed from physio, supplements, medications, TCM, eventually a minimally invasive procedure.
