The Calrose - 513 Yio Chu Kang Rd

Worst securities! Always carrying a wheel clamp and roaming around in basement to clamp the vehicles and showing disgraceful & shouting to visitors while entering. Worst condominium I had ever seen as a contractor.

Fairly accessible, the bus stop right in front can take you straight to VivoCity (1hour plus bus ride) and 2 other buses take you straight to AMK interchange. The bus stop opposite has buses that take you to YCK MRT as well or to Yishun interchange. It’s a 7-10 minutes walk to market nearby and walking another 5 minutes in that direction you’ll reach YCK MRT. Futhermore, an MRT for the Thomson line is gonna pop up here in a few years, so that’ll make it even more convenient.

Good place to stay. Easy to find

Unless you want to stay in a condominium run like an army camp, DO NOT buy/rent this place. Management and committee alike are power hungry, nothing better to do people who run the place with the residents' welfare and security far from being their priority. Some ridiculous stories include wheel clamps, where on multiple occasions, residents' cars are being wheel clamped without so much as a courtesy call to the unit. Same for residents' visitors, where they start clamping cars at 12:01am without even informing the residents. We, as residents are expected to be apologetic and extremely thankful when they actually do inform us before clamping. Ridiculous measures, where residents have to apply for such privileges in advance are hard to believe. This is especially so when we happen to have friends who come over at the last minute and want to stay a bit later. Embarrassingly, we have to tell them to leave or their cars would be clamped. To make matters worst, a guard by the name of Mohd Azhar, unprovoked, shouted and threatened us. Even though we made this matter known to the management, committee chairwoman refused to do anything to help, or even have the decency to revert to us. Same goes from the management, who said that they will get back to us. Meanwhile, the guard who threatened his own residents stays on the premises. There are many more ridiculous stories as we have been staying here for 10 years and its getting from bad to worse. Buy/rent at your own risk.

A beautiful condo. Large development but not intimidating like some others. Pretty landscaping. Nice pool and clubhouse design. Peaceful and quiet, especially in the evenings. Some units have a balcony facing Yio Chu Kang Road, which is breezy and has quite lush greenery. Lovely to have your meals or entertain guests. There is an MRT station across the road under construction - should be ready by 2020.

The security at Calrose is now better than last time. The Security Enforcer are doing a great job and very professional. Keep up the good work.

Quite spacious condominiums, 2 to 3 bedded. Quite cozy throughout the night. A bit hot in the day. Quite old property. Quite a distance to the Lentor MRT (Brown line), more accessible towards Ang Mo Kio (feeder bus), Yishun, Punggol..
