Aromatic spices with fish head curry would set you back by $30. Food is good, but portions are smaller than you would expect at other cafs/restaurants. A large-sized fish head curry is sufficient for 2 persons. Worth a try!

Located just 2 bus stops away from Botanic Gardens MRT station (Circle/ Downtown Line), Curry Wok is located in Coronation Arcade (next to Coronation Plaza). Having seen this shops many times, this is actually my first time visiting it. If you are looking for tasty home cooked style food, this is the place to go! Ordered the Homemade Ngoh Hiang, Chap Chye, Curry Chicken and Otak, which were all flavourful and palate friendly for those who has lower tolerance for spiciness! The Ngoh Hiang was really crispy and filled with ingredients and not too tough on the insides too. However, in my opinion, I would prefer my Otak with more fish meat and spice, for a good kick. Friendly staffs and a cosy and clean environment. It’s definitely an afforable meal for the quality we are getting. Definitely going back again :)

Awesome Peranakan food served here! Tried the otah (comes with a lot of fish inside), curry chicken and ngoh hiang - all were amazingly great! Will come back again to try the rest of the dishes.

Great place. Homely feel, homely taste. The food is good, although price is on the steep side...

Tried the individual sets which allowed us to try more dishes. Flavors are good. Not too bad with the price too. Rendang would be great if it is softer and perhaps... with a more reduced gravy. Braised pork isn't bad and the prawn paste wings is the winner in my book. Not too salty, flavorful, not too overwhelming and crispy exterior.

First time here, some hits and misses. Liked the chap cai, flavourful and well cooked. Pork chop was cooked on the spot before serving, sweet sauce goes very well with the tender pork chops. Braised meat was chewy and flat in taste. Curry chicken was nice but lacked the lemak punch. Maybe I had some expectations cos the price here isn't cheap.

Objectively speaking, this joint favours larger group dining, purely from the perspective that you will have more dishes to share and the prices are better spread out. With just 2 pax, it costs up to $50 for a meat, a vegetable and an otah, and drink. Not particularly good value for money even though the taste and home cooked quality comes through.

Host was friendly, nice homely vibe. Provided hot water to sanitize utensils. "Lime juice taste like my mother make one". Curry is very good! Other food is pretty good but the portion might not be enough for 5 people
