★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Visited this mutton specialist shop 川羊记 at Balestier, where they sell authentic Chinese style mutton soup, which will warm you straight up after taking a few sips. The broth was rich and flavorful. Mutton was soft, tender and it certainly went very well with the rice. If you are a Muttons fan, then this shop is definitely worth the visit.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Perfect place for mutton lovers. Had the mutton hotpot along with mutton tongue, mutton slices, and mutton dumpling. The dumplings were soooo good - very juicy and aromatic and cooked perfectly in the hotpot. Their 羊肉串 (mutton skewers) was one of the best I've tried in Singapore - it's super tender and juicy.
Overall I would give this place a 5 star if not for their slightly buggy ordering system. You need a wechat account, scan their wechat code, and order. Even after ordering it loads very slowly and your orders sometimes disappear so it's better you double check with the staff. Thankfully their staff is very friendly although they can get quite busy.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Broth for the 拉面 was not bad, also the 羊肉烧饼 was great. Unfortunately the skewers weren’t fresh (and just reheated) since they were served within minutes of ordering, and pretty expensive at $2.5 per 羊肉串. Probably won’t order skewers again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Awesome mutton hotpot! Probably the best in singapore. The mutton BBQ skew is to die for! The steamboat broth is tasty and not too heavy, well judged and gets tastier towards the end of the meal! The mutton cook in the broth is so good it almost melts in your mouth. The peanut sauce with added chilli oil goes great with everything! The set for 2 is $88 and they only accept cash. Come here for the best mutton soup on a rainy cooler day and it’s almost the perfect meal!
