The Miltonia Residences - 544 Miltonia Cl

We have stayed here over 3 years. It is a quiet and cosy place. Early in the morning we could see the sun rise and enjoy the chirping of the birds.The place has a beautiful garden landscape not commonly found in other condos. The bed rooms are of reasonable size, bigger than those in the newly built condos. The facilities are kept clean and functional. So far we have enjoyed our stay here.

Very peaceful staying here in Miltonia. Huge carpark allowing you to easily find lots. Ratio is more than 1 to 1 unit. Another big plus are the size of rooms. Many new condos can scarcely fit in a queen bed but those in Miltonia can easily accommodate a king size bed. Agree that MRT Station is far away. However However you buy a unit here, you are already fully aware of this issue already. It is quiet and most units will not face any traffic noises at all. If you have more than 1 car, u can request for another lot. Also the location makes driving to town as easy as yishun offers by transversing through seletar west link connection. Grounds are well manicured and swimming pool while not exciting, is well sized and long enough for proper lap swimming. Prices here is also very decent when you compare to others and even places in Sembawang.

Nice view from the swimming pool & gym (looks towards the golf course), nice security guards and janitress is always friendly with her greetings. The green landscape was well maintained by the caretakers who work hard under the sun. Weekends are lively with kids and families by the pool. It is a great place to host your guests and comfortable for retiring couples.There is a free shuttle bus service available, operated by friendly and punctual drivers to take you to Katib & Yishun stations (Northpoint shopping mall). I think it depends on which block you live in but there are areas that are quieter and more comfortable and there are areas that are occupied by inconsiderate neighbours who smokes a couple of times throughout the day, talk loudly at their patio at 7+ am on weekends or have guests over till 12:30am at the patio (all of them are different residents from different units). Occasionally, you will meet drivers who honked in the carpark in the evenings or park head first and eats into the space of the neighbouring car... Pretty much self-entitled individuals. My point here is, as much as the physical environment is beautiful with good management team, you will need to evaluate the space carefully before deciding on your purchase/rent. I am still learning to accept the diversity in this environment that is shared with both gracious as well as selfish people.

Nice well maintained residential apartment complex in Yishun. The complex over looks the country club and golf course. Onsite ammenties include a 25m lap pool, a separate kids pool, and a small gym. There's a free curtisy shuttle bus the runs every hour to the 2 closest MRT stations.

We are staying here for almost 4 years . The price of the rental are reasonable. Very inconvenience when comes to transportation. It has shuttle bus everyday, which drop us at khatib or yishun mrt . However, during peak hour (weekday morning before 8.30 am and after working hours) the shuttle bus is always full esp if you want to wait at yishun mrt . The bus only carry roughly 23 ppl. Otherwise, you can take 117 or 805 which the bustop is 10 mins walking distance. The bus ride + waiting can takes extra 30 mins of your time. The swimming pool is fairly small, is hard to have a proper swim at early evening because kids are playing in the pool. The gym was ok, a little bit worn down and dirty . The management people are SUCK ! And ineffective . Dog owners will have to remember to pick the dogs poo and dilute the dog pee with water otherwise your picture or video will be taken and the management can issue you a fine. It has 2 fish ponds . However , it always filled with algae and I think it will better off cover the pond and replace with plants. It is just waste of money to maintain the ponds . Feeding fish is not allowed. Facilities : 1 basket ball court (will be locked around after 10.30 pm ) steam room, a bbq pit, playground , swimming pool , tables and chair for gathering , 1 big party room. Public toilet near the swimming pool. You will need to book the bbq pit or the party room in advance. The materials used in the unit are poor. Things started to break down after 3 years (e.g. plugs are not working and tiles coming out) . Things that drive me crazy are: the type of window use in the bathroom (see pic), if you take a shower at night with the light turned on, ppl from outside can see the outline of your body !!!! Sometimes I accidentally see other ppl outline, which gives me a nightmare ! Secondly , the material used in the kitchen (see pic) is not suitable for kitchen because it absorbs stain very easily and sometimes it can’t be removed ! Can you imagine the owner charge you for that or you have to constantly worry about the stain. Thirdly , the material of the wooden floor is very very cheap , the floor was “curved in” when I accidentally dropped my Mac charger as well as when we moved our furniture . Fourthly , although is nice that we have a golf view BUT everyday (even early 5 am during weekend) big trucks (see picture), which maintain the grass or blow the leaves make A LOT of noises! Very very loud and annoying . When ppl playing golf at night, Bright light from the golf course will be shining into ur house at night as late as 11.30 - 12 pm or later . Some of the ppl here are friendly . But most of them are pretty aloof. Try to say hi to them but they just looked at you like u are crazy . This is just weird . These are just my opinions. May differ from other ppl. I will NOT RECOMMEND this place unless you work near by or if u have a car. That is one of the main reason we are moving out. Also, we can’t stand some of the nosy people.
