Best Model shop in Singapore

K	KW (Pixel) on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The models are super overpriced unfortunately. The uncle will happily quote u any price he likes. Strongly suggest u check the price online before you buy. Don’t get cheated. I have asked a few models, original price ranging from 90-150. The uncle quoted over 300.
A	Aryoga Pramadipa on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Prices are higher than other stores, but despite that, the owner is really friendly. I had a little chat with the owner and he was really friendly. I think you could even have a marginal bargain. The store is quite comprehensive. The space is a bit cramped so you need to be careful not to bump into things.

T	Tom Tyrone Beiron Tay on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Agnes was terrific to deal with. Found exactly what I have been searching for, as keepsakes, and she dealt with me patiently. First was the Herpa collectible die cast model of a Boeing 747-400 with registration for SIA being 9V-SPD Mega Top, the actual aircraft I operated in before leaving service with SIA in 1990. Instead of a Cunnard line, I found the waterline model for the SS France, which in 1960 was launched as the largest cruise ship in the world at 361 metres, later converted to Norway and scrapped a few years ago (sadly). Still, she was considered the last of the great cruise liners. Great keepsakes! Highly recommended store for the usual models and such, though.
T	Tonet on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The owner, Agnes, is a VERY nice person. I always spend an hour or so, because we just talk. She once set aside a die-cast collection because she thought I might want it (I did, the M-series B-17, etc.). They have a contemporary die-cast selection, focused mainly on airline and military transport aircraft. There is a large collection of legacy plastic model kits, armored vehicles in 1:72 scale, and 1/6 figures. Detail&Scale books, decal sheets, magazines, etc. This is a specialist shop. Agnes is a kind-hearted person and Uncle is patient. Been going to them for decades, when I was based in Manila and Bangkok. Then I moved to Singapore :) Don't come here if you're looking for a department store experience. This is a quaint collectibles store that has been around for decades. They've moved the store several times. Used to be at Specialist Centre, etc.

P	Ponti on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Range of collection of diecasts, kits, and accesories of different scales inside a small store. I was looking for 1:200 scale models. Prices are on the high end yet store owner is cooperative, negotiable. The uncle explained personally that rent prices are increasing around Orchard and its not like everyday people are buying his products - still got a tad bit of discount.

When I asked about a model I was initially told that they didn't have it and when I pointed to it in their window was just told it was expensive. In today's world of online shopping where you can get any model available with transparent pricing and quick delivery I am not sure how such shops survive. I ordered what I wanted online and suspect it was quite a lot cheaper. There is a very good diecast airliner shop in Singapore (my interest) which has an excellent webshop and great service, I would rather support them.
