Initial impressions were excellent. Then after wearing and laundering the shirts, the button on one of the shirts became loose and sat low on the buttonhole. I had to bring the shirt back to have it redone. Although the problem did not re-occur it was a hassle having to go back. There were also quite a lot of threads hanging out from the stitching when the shirts were new, I cut them off myself but wondered why they did not take the time to do so themselves.

I commissioned a shirt with The Prestigious. As with my previous experience with their sister company, Straits of Asia, it was wonderful. The pale blue shirt fabric is from Scabal. It feels silky soft on the skin, yet is durable. I've washed it about 10 times now, and it's still as good as new. The collar was exactly as I instructed, 3.5" medium spread with a softer than medium stiffness interlining. The shirt also has a french placket, split yoke, double button barrel cuffs, shirt length that can both be worn tucked or untucked... Fit was spot on, which was expected as they have my measurements from my previous commissions with Straits of Asia. Workmanship is as good as expected. Neat felled seams, neat buttonholes, mother-of-pearl buttons, zampa di gallina (chicken foot stitching) on the buttons, stitching is dense and even. Watching my tailor-ess (Min Tzu) put on the final touches reminds me that this is something hand made just for me. She took her time to make it from scratch and it feels very special. Highly recommended.

Great experience with Marcus, I have wanted a bespoke suit for a while and my wedding was the perfect time. Marcus was great the whole way through and the suit and shirt are truly excellent, definitely not my last purchase from The Prestigious!

I've paid for a suit here, and ended up so embarrassed by both the product and the process that I had to ask for a refund. The only redeeming part of the experience was the honesty of head Tailor Mr. Wong. If not for him, i'd have bought out a page on the Straits Times detailing my horrific experience. Yes, that bad. Hopefully they get better.

Thank you Mr Wong for being patient with us as i was tailoring my suit with Prestigious (the weight gain made tailoring my suit tricky, haha)! I really envied my husband's superbly well-tailored wedding suit and so he brought me here to have one made for me ? Now i can't wait to wear it out, thank you for the wonderful experience of having my first suit made!!!

I had a double breasted suit and a pair of pants made. On top of that I had extra 4 batiks done with them, one of which were silk material. I have been to a few bespoke place and so far only Mr Wong has the knowledge of what to do to the material (how to cut, where to cut, the length and the lining inside like how Indonesians do it). Granted, it’s not him doing it, but knowing that it’ll be reviewed by him is more than enough as the team specially chosen by him would most likely meet the standard. In the end the batik was wonderfully done, all 4 of them. It took about 2 months but I have the time to spare anyway. The double breasted suit however was slightly too big in the beginning in my opinion although Mr Wong had his own view on how the fitting of double breasted suit. He still respected my wish of a more modern fit. All in all it was a positive experience and the whole team was very professional and knowledgable. The only downside I would say is the price. The price is on the high side but in Singapore I believe everywhere is almost quite the same, unless you have the time to fly to Thailand or Indonesia. To add on, I fully support what Mr Wong is doing, which is promoting and nurturing local talent.

Recently my friend had decided to approach Mr Wong and his team to do Batik shirts for the brothers for his wedding. To make a nice Batik shirt, you need to understand the design of the raw material and visualized the final product. We are impressed with Mr Wong and his team on the final product, we love our batik shirt! The team that assist us are young but with the guidance of Mr Wong and Alvin, they did a pretty good job and I wouldnt mind to have them make a suit for me in the future. Looking forward to have another new shirt make by them. Will definitely recommend them to my friends. Thanks for the nice batik shirt that you had made!

We always look forward to visiting Prestigious Tailor for my fittings. During my first appointment, it was a pleasant surprise when Mr Wong sat my wife and I down to personally share his experience on bespoke tailoring. Because of my body type, finding the right fit is challenging. Together with Alvin and Joyan, the entire bespoke tailoring experience was nothing short of first class. Nothing matters more than the final result, I was really happy with the fit, compared to other tailor made suits I have.
