My internship with THERIS was a very positive experience. I had the opportunity to learn from therapists (Jessie & Ameerah) who are extremely passionate about what they do. Every session is meticulously planned to ensure that each client's specific needs are met. Also, the interns at THERIS are enthusiastic and eager to go above and beyond in developing engaging materials and activities to assist therapists in facilitating their sessions. It was incredible to witness how each client progressed and benefited from each session, as well as how they formed unique bonds with the horses. The dedication and commitment of the team at THERIS is truly inspiring.

My internship at THERIS has been nothing but fulfilling and enjoyable! As an intern, I was given the opportunity to learn about equine care and also be a part of the therapy sessions. Being able to witness how equine-assisted therapy was able to benefit clients’ physical and emotional well-being was a valuable and heart-warming experience. The team at THERIS are really passionate about what they do and are very welcoming towards both the interns and clients. Being around the horses always puts a smile on my face and I would definitely recommend THERIS to anyone who is interested! :)

Interning at THERIS was one of the most fulfilling experiences of my youth thus far. No other internship will give you the chance to work so closely with horses while helping children. There is so much to learn about various aspects of therapy, such as emotional regulation and helping the kids with their social skills. I have seen many children improve greatly from attending sessions at THERIS, be it small changes like opening up more or drastic improvements in speech and confidence. An overall awesome and unique experience!!

I had the opportunity to intern at THERIS and learn more about equine-assisted therapy through this unique and fulfilling experience. The therapists are really knowledgeable and passionate about the work they do. The horses are also really welcoming and gentle, which is helpful especially for those who have no prior experience interacting with horses. They are also very well taken care of by the THERIS Team. It was rewarding to see how the horses bonded and created a positive and comfortable environment for the clients during the sessions.

I was able to volunteer at Theris during the Christmas holiday and it was an absolutely amazing experience. Everyone there is so professional and very kind and helpful. The therapists are really skilled and really know how to connect with the clients and say just the right things. The horses are so sweet and it's incredible to watch them connect with the clients. It was amazing to see the child clients learn so much and develop in their relationships with the horses, therapist, and themselves. It feels like a home away from home. I learned so much while volunteering here and I really hope to be able to come back soon.

It was a great internship experience! The therapists were really nice and showed me the ropes (quite literally) and I learnt alot from horse management to interpersonal skills. I will miss the clients I met as well and it was just as therapeutic for them as it was for me to listen to them and do the activities with them as well! I think my favourite was when we hid toys and cones in the jungle for the client to find so she would have a task to do while sharing about her day. It helped train her focus as well as her social skills ? I think what they are doing there is great so keep it up, guys! Also, big shout out to Lavinia, a volunteer there, for being so patient with me and making my experience an enjoyable one.

had an internship with THERIS and it was such a wonderful experience, meeting horses, clients and the lovely therapists. the therapists here are passionate and knowledgeable in what they do, and despite the small space in BTSC, they are able to make good use of the arenas and jungle to conduct sessions. highly recommend for internships and for therapy sessions too!

Deciding to intern in THERIS last year was one of the best decisions I've made. The people at the stables are genuine, and the therapists are generous with sharing their knowledge about horses! It doesn't really matter if you have no prior background/experience/knowledge about Equine Therapy. One of the reasons why THERIS experience can be so memorable is because you learn through experience, and you really get to bond not only with the clients but also with the horses!
