Am a fan of Tar Sau Piah so first tried this tar sau piah (salty), they are chunky and tasty. Unique one is It won’t drop the flaky skins of the piah as you bite. Quite comparable to the popular ones at Balestier but much thicker size and drier. Good old school packaging design brings you back to childhood memories.

Have always like Tau Sar Piah from this shop. Recently purchased there again. Price increased from 10 pieces for $7 to 10 pieces for $8 which is ok but standard dropped compared to my last purchase in July. The crust was not as crispy as before & tau sar filling was not as smooth as it used to be. Also was served by a rude and impatient guy at the shop.

I enjoyed eating the Tau sar piah made by this old school confectionary. The fillings tasted yummy, not too sweet nor saltish for both types. The pastry is thin and smooth.Tasted exactly liked those I had taken in the 60s.

Very unfriendly woman (showing angry gesture the moment when stepped in the shop), not willing to advise the customer on customary packages and very rude towards her customers. Tried to approach the man inside the shop. He was slightly more patient although aloof! Their business must far too good?.

They are selling Teochew la-pian at S$15 each. Must say that the size of the pian has shrunken over the years. Taste of the pian is fine but if they can put in mellon seeds, the ε£ζ„Ÿwill be better.

Recently bought their salty TSP, per piece is 80 cents for such a tiny size. I would have no qualms about the price if it was worth. However in terms of taste and quality, it was extremely lacklustre. The pastry skin was stale and lacks any buttery fragrance. Taste aside, their CS is non existent. I stood in the shop for awhile and nobody wanted to serve me even though they were aware of my presence. I had to call them over and this uncle looks so reluctant to get up from his chair to serve me. I ordered 10 pieces and he gave me the β€œThats all?” tone. Good luck to anyone who orders anything less than 10 because the CS rendered will be worse than mine. Came here to buy TSP but get treated like I owe him money.

Old school confectionery that has been here for 10 over years. Perfect place to get your tau sar piah cravings fixed. My love goes out to their 鹹豆沙, highly recommend to buy them in a box of 5/10 and pair it with a cup of hot tea ⭐️⭐️⭐️

The freshly made tau sar piah was so delicious! The skin melts in the mouth and the filling of mung bean paste was savoury and not too sweet. Also available is a wide range of other classical Teochew pastries, some made by other producers.
