★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is the place that Singaporean should not miss to visit it. One of the Housing Estate building in 50's, can get " Medeka " reward. Now this place start to have more meeting place for family and friends. People start to visit nice Cafe and other retails to appreciate this place to avoid crowded shopping mall. Spend a day to walk around in the morning or afternoon 3 pm, it may take you 3 hours, but just nice to have the lunch at Tiong Bahru Wet Market or Dinner at the cafe ...... Drinks in the evening ....

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tiong Bahru is a lovely area and for the price paid, we had expected more history to be shared about the art deco influence, etc. Our guides were friendly and we enjoyed the hour with them but we were hoping to learn more about the area and felt it was over priced.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I grew up in this area, although many excellent food and playgrounds were gone I'm still fascinated with the many architectures that left behind.
Tiong Bahru is indeed a nice and quiet neighbourhood to visit with many new restaurants and cafes that start operating to cater to the new generations. I can see many tourists around too.
