No doubt the signature Cajun Chicken is nice. Soft, succulent and well proportioned. That's y we kept coming back here for more. However, today's order was pretty lacklustre.
Everythings cold. Chicken and steak r cold. The fries were cold, soggy and chewy. Coleslaw seems to be close to spoiling.
In the beginning we chanced upon this shop n intended to ban it due to bad customer service since the guy was kinda rude. But we gave it a 2nd chance. Let's hope improvements r made for the sake of the cajun chicken. ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I'm so torn on this one. On the one hand, the cajun chicken rice bowl ($8) was excellent. Chicken was tender and flavourful, portions were generous, and everything just went together very well. It was the perfect bowl. On the other hand, the NZ ribeye steak ($25), for which we ordered medium-rare, turned out to be medium-well. Unsurprisingly, it was tough and flavourless like cardboard. Would totally return for the chicken bowl though!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The classic burger is very good. However, the mentaiko salmon don and the truffle beef don a bit disappointing. Beef too tough and dry, long rice instead of Japanese rice, eggs not runny, no sauce provided. Could have been better..

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 4th and last time. All previous times they would help cut the steaks for us and food was good.
This time they would not help us cut. Told us the plastic knives were sufficient. Served on a unstable metal platter that rocked on the table.
Portions were satisfactory but the food was not up to standard. the chicken looked fried (although char grilled). Fries ok.coleslaw ok and the beans were good).
Sadly this was he worst and last experience. Hope they do better.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Meat platter for 4 was no joke as we couldn't finish the fries. Just check out that 1:1 fries to meat ratio!
Steak was tender (was it sous vide because that was a perfect medium rare) and lightly seared. Lamb chop was well seasoned and the fat was grilled till it melts in your mouth. Bratwurst and chicken chop was not that fantastic tho.
Sides was amazing enough to cut through the weariness of eating meat with the beans cooked with bacon, sauteed corn, and a refreshing coleslaw that's didn't come from a box.
Overall thought it was a good dinner spot if you're eating in a group of not more than 5.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Got the meat platter for 2 with a friend, was a large portion, and the chicken was particularly flavorful. The beef was really good too. Thought the prices were pretty fair for how much food we received. Will be back ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ordered a platter set for 2 and their special teriyaki chicken rice bowl. Platter was served cold so not to my liking. However the rice bowl is not too bad, portion is quite huge and the chicken was warm.
