Tse Tho Aum Crematorium - 38 Sin Ming Ave

Tse Tho Aum Crematorium is also known as Tse Tho Aum Temple. It is both a crematorium and a burial ground, a columbarium, in Singapore. The Tse Tho Aum Temple is a Buddhist Temple situated at the Junction of Sin Ming Drive. It is located in Sin Ming Avenue in Bishan. It is also serving as a religious site of worship. It also serves as a burial ground in Singapore. The Temple also functions as a Crematorium for Buddhists to cremate their deceased. The temple’s crematorium is private. There are only two privately run crematorium facilities in Singapore. The other being found in the Nearby Kong Meng Sen Phor Kark See Monastery. It is popularly known as Bright Hill Temple. Another crematorium is the Mandai Crematorium. The usual practice in the Tse Tho Aum crematorium is for mourners to leave once the coffin is placed in the furnace room, the mourners are not encourage to witness the whole cremation process. While at Bright Hill Crematorium, just a block away, mourners witness the whole cremation process in the ceremonial hall. With effect from 1 August 2013, lighting up of any type of candles offerings is prohibited in the Temple. And a $3 Environmental Fees is charged (环保费) for the burning of offerings.
