The staff's attitude toward customers was not particularly friendly, and they were unhelpful to customers who were having trouble with the safe entry and felt unwelcomed by the staff. I hope to see more improvement in this area.

Food: 1-Star: Not Value for money as Sushi Takeout way better for takeaway. Food is not exactly cheap for dining-in experience as Sushi Express way better Cha Soba: 1-Star: Little condiments, eg. seaweed, and soba sauce defintely insufficent, so has to top up $0.50 to buy another bottle... Taste wise, the soba texture doesn't taste good either.. Better to pay bit more to eat at fast casual restaurant with tempura crumbs and better tasting soba Chawamushi: 2.5-Star: 1 small piece of (Fake) crabstick and 2 ginkgo nuts. Not as flavourful compared to usual ones, even if @ foodcourt level... Service: 3.5-Star: Very friendly and helpful lady serve me. However, I like to highlight that shop should provide straw upon request as some people like me have sensitive teeth and drinking cold drink w/o straw is painful... Simply declaring "Save Earth, no plastic (straws)" is hypocritic as your whole shop is using so much plastic when there are alternatives but U dun provide (neccessary) items, like straws when needed...

There is a promotion after 9PM everyday. S$1 for sushi, 30% off for appetizers, salad and mini platter.

Food quality is pretty bad. Beside their soy sauce and wasabi being far off the mark, the sashimi and sushi isnt fresh. Need to work on getting the sushi rice cooked right too.

Staff wasn't friendly. Also my first time purchasing salmon sashimi without any wasabi and soy sauce provided....? I had to buy my own wasabi and soy sauce to go with it....

Oh man, umisushi used to be a good brand selling fast food sushi at decent price but not sure what happened. No wonder many of their outlets are closing. Now it is worse than probably supermarket sushi. For the gombak outlet, service level is just beyond underwhelming....entered the shop when there is no one, there is 4 staff on duty, they didn't seem to be busy with anything as they were chatting among themselves, they saw me but continued chatting, well, it is an afternoon and ppl might be on break, no biggie. Still unattended after nearly 5 mins and I sounded a hi, only to get a reply to tell me wait and finally someone moved to attend to me, with a grumpy what do you want. Got my order was told to wait outside. Waited and thinking it might take some time, decided to go ard and get other stuff first, turns still no ready after more than 15 mins, got in to check and turns out they prepared the delivery orders first, and the aunty just plainly told me to wait "patiently" before finally handing my food, with a very angsty tone,....me no need Michelin star service hey but I am not here to get bullied for spending at Ur store?

After a recent renovation, the store is rather friendly, and they sell Japanese foods that are hard to come by anywhere in Singapore. A fantastic spot to satisfy your sushi cravings. Their price range of their products is reasonable as well.

Take away at the MRT. If you’re a sushiholic don’t try it. Just fast food level sushi. Can make you not hungry but don’t expect too much of the taste.
