Was quoted $X for a whole car respray. I triple confirm with the guy to confirm its a whole car for $X. When work done, realise rooftop was not resprayed. And check receipt stating exclude rooftop. Does this make sense?

Went to V-Tech to spray paint my car in March this year. Asked them to do a exterior only coat because I can’t keep the car there for 10 days for the comprehensive inside/outside spray paint job. The boss Benson quoted $1000. I was happy with that quote so sent my car in to spray. The following day, the employee Ah Kow called and told me to get a better paint job I need to pay $100 more. What to do? My car is already in the shop, so I agree to pay more because I may end up with a lousy paint job. I also asked them to spray paint the 4 rims. When I collect my car, Ah Kow told me the rims are only sprayed on the outside, but not the inside beneath the tyre. They only pinch the tyre in and spray. The shop also lose my car’s parcel shelf nut and the parcel shelf cannot be installed properly. All the contents in the boot can be seen clearly from outside the car. As the parcel shelf is not secured, the vibration of the car caused rattling noise which is very annoying. And when I told the staff to get a replacement nut, they took a long while to get back. Saying the supplier had no stock, need to order from Japan. I called the authorized dealer and they say part is immediately available. I had to send my newly purchased pre owned car for spray paint job as the dealer did not detect the scratches on 2 doors. The dealer had specifically appointed them for such body works. They occupy more than half of the units on level 6, the roof level (superb for letting the spray paint dry nicely on a hot day). Rather impressive establishment. One of the supervisor, Ah Hui, attended to me and said he woild try and get it done and ready by 4pm. And true enough, I was able to pick up my car at 4pm. As to cost, I would not be able to comment as the dealer was picking up the tab.

I recommend anyone who want to rent car. Reasonable price. U can rent, buy, sell, repair n they hv towing service too.
