โ โ โ โ โ The staff were very kind and tried their best. The greatest challenge with this nice property is that there seems to be a lack of maintenance and things have been allowed to deteriorate. Some of the design elements also need to be reconsidered if and when they refurbish. We had a good stay and the location is good. Don't expect too much and you won't be disappointed. Meals at Tamarind Hill are very good

โ โ โ โ โ Booked the Luxe Sarang for my wedding anniversary. Room is nice with the private pool. Giving it a 3 star because the smart tv has connection issue. U can't connect to the WiFi so no choice have to watch their in house channel which is quite boring. Parking is free but have to walk quite a bit, can't complain for complimentary parking. The outdoor area is quite dirty as it is filled with those small leafs.

โ โ โ โ โ Had a staycation here just before Christmas. Enjoyed the service and the hospitality of the staff.
However, felt that the pricing for the one and only villa with pool did not match. The interior was little a little dated and needed much maintenance and upgrading. There was no stable wifi at all during our 3D2N stay which meant we could not use any of the Netflix or other app based programmes at all. So we drove out for a movie instead. The pool was not too clean and not sure how often water is changed. There were broken concrete edges around the floor trap. Daughter sustained a small cut so the pool definitely needs maintenance.
Blinds were missing from the toilet cum shower which meant no privacy at all, especially if you are the only man in a family of ladies. But the team solved that after a call with some drapery.

โ โ โ โ โ Interesting experience, I will give the location 5 stars, facility is 4 stars because they messed something up.
In terms of service, sorry I can only give 1 star beside the breakfast, how come you had always been asked whatโs your name during the stay while the whole place only has 20 rooms??? And 50% utilized at the day.
Not mentioning they did not give the hotel guest the heads up of restaurant closure at night due to host a wedding, pushing the door rather not knocking when guests are inside, no good morning, can not buy afternoon tea because it was not in the package.
Well, it really feels like a โๅๅฎถไนโ, if you know, you know.

โ โ โ โ โ We were there for a staycation and it was perfect for that- lovely colonial style building, beautifully restored and with tasteful furnishings, a romantic walk up to the restaurant and spa/yoga spot, tucked away amongst the trees and cicadas. The bird and cicada noises of the park drowned out the human noises although we weren't actually of course that far from the road or buildings- in fact we walked 15 min out to the nearest mall to get food once and it was easy. The park itself is a lovely place to take walks and spot sea eagles. Breakfasts on the terrace at Tamarind were quiet and atmospheric. Definitely need to watch the insects, and the wifi is a little spotty, but that's to be expected given the location and it was fine for a weekend "away from the city! Friendly staff and comfy beds... we'll definitely be back for another stay when we need a break again!

โ โ โ โ โ Priya at Villa Samadhi Singapore made our stay special. She was very friendly, went above and beyond to make sure our free breakfast was served to us in bed due to us having jet lag. The amazing rooms and jacuzzi was also the highlight of the stay.
The cherry on top was that Villa samadhi being situated near a nature preserve made sure that we are far removed from the hustle and bustle of city life making our stay very zen and calming.

โ โ โ โ โ My wife and I like to stay at boutique hotels and Villa Samadhi popped up for staycations in Singapore. It's off the beaten track but we've been wanting to explore Labrador nature park so opted to try it. We got a fancy room with a small indoor (okay, outdoor but inside the room) plunge pool. The idea was fun to try.
I've been to the sister property (Tamarind Hill restaurant; see separate review) a few times so coming here wasn't a problem. Can't drive to the front door so somebody comes down to help with the luggage. Then parking is back down the little road and up behind Tamarind Hill. There's a really nice walk down back to Samadhi. Inside, very quiet and calm. No elevator so the staff helps carry our bag up the stairs as well. It's a converted building (see their website) so rooms open out to an open corridor. The main room door is a double leaf, and locked (literally) with a padlock. No windows! You enter straight into the bedroom, tiled floor, not very big. Entire back of the room goes to the bathroom area. There's another double door and two sets of windows. Inside that area is your wardrobe, coffee maker, etc. as well as the usual toilet, shower, sink.
Then another door out to the backyard, which is under a tin roof. There's a small table and a couple of chairs - good to sit down and read but a bit humid given that most of the space is taken up by the plunge pool. This is a kind of a jacuzzi as well as there are jets but it's big enough to swim in :-). And you can adjust the temperature so soak as well. We liked it a lot and played in the pool for quite a lot of the time we're there. I think most people who return would be for the pool! The rest is more quaint than anything else.
The stay came with a tea which could be served in your room or taken in the lounge. We opted for that as the bedroom doesn't really have a seating area/table and the poolside was too humid. The lounge was really nice, and you walk past the bar to get there. But during COVID, the bar wasn't running though we could get some drinks served to us. Food was carried down from Tamarind Hill and wrapped in plastic. Not great for the stuff that doesn't do well under plastic! It's a timely old-fashioned place - we liked it but it may not be for everyone.
Breakfast is also included (choose from a menu) and can be had in room, in the lounge or walk up to Tamarind. We did it twice in the lounge and once walking up and highly recommend taking the walk. Early morning walk is great and the food is nice fresh. At that time, sundowners were included but you walk up to Tamarind Hill for that and get a couple of drinks (chose from menu) and relax in the front lounge. We had mojitos, and other stuff I can't recall. Okay to relax but also okay to skip. But don't miss the restaurant - we loved that! See separate review.
Service staff (front desk and in the lounge) were always pleasant with a smile and willing to chat. They always tried to help you and we had a pleasant time engaging with them during tea, etc.
Overall, we had a good break, had an interesting time in a very different place, and had great access to the park and walking along the Western waterfront (also not to be missed). Would we come back? Not sure...my wife doesn't like the fact that the rooms have no windows. Maybe that's why we hung out in the pool :-)

โ โ โ โ โ We had an amazing stay at Villa Samadhi.
Both the hotel and the restaurant are decorated with such fine and pleasant taste, the food is great and the service impeccable.
We only stayed one night but felt totally transported by the special atmosphere of the place.
A big thumbs up for the free yoga session in the morning.
We hope to come back soon enough to relive this exceptional experience.
