P	Pierre Terrier on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Only reason for not giving it 5 stars is that the NOS setting is not 100% true non over sampling as proven in many graphs. However the Ares 2 in the NOS setting sounds excellent to my ears. Since I am an analog fan, NOS is the only way to go for me.

It opened up a whole new world of a listening experience. In addition the communication with Vinshine Audio was excellent through the purchasing and delivery process. Everything went as promised. My set-up: Rega Brio II amp, Denafrips Aeries II DAC, Audio Monitor Bronze speakers, REL T/Zero subwoofer, Raspberry Pie with Digi Allo hat connected via coax to DAC, Volumio streaming software, music stored on QNAP Nas connected via ethernet to Raspberry Pie

Their shipping is incredibly fast and double boxed, just a few days here to Michigan. I had no issues wiring monies for a large purchase, every transaction was handled in an extremely professional manner. Annie in shipping kept me up to date, and when I had a few generic questions, Vincent was there to save the day. Love the service and the AWESOME Denafrips gear! I will be doing more business with Mr Chee, I need a Pontus II DAC to replace my Ares II... The Denafrips gear, which punches way above its price point... The Ares II, Iris DDC, Hades pre, Thallo amp, Bluesound Node, OPPO BDP-83 SACD transport, GeerFab DSD Breakout Box and the KLH Model 5 speakers. I now listen to music, instead of the speakers and or the gear... I have not been able to do that in years due to my previous gear, mainly due to the ear fatiguing chip DACs, the game changer was the Ares II, the icing on the cake were the Hades and Thallo, they really make the Model 5's sing, and take those speakers to a completely new level. I cannot wait to get the Pontus II into my system. Then I am done. ;-)

Alvin and Annie know how to take care of their customers. They took the time to respond my questions, were transparent and honest about expected shipping times, followed through on promises, and are genuine and friendly. It really makes a difference! I’ve experienced the opposite elsewhere, and it can enough to bang you head on a wall, trust me. Not only that, their products are amazing—and an amazing deal as well. I had the Ares II for a few years, and recently upgraded to the Pontus II/Iris combo with I2s connection. It has been revelatory. Same musicality to the presentation, but with such a leap in realism—I got this eerie sense that a window had been opened up when I compared them. You don’t need me to tell you, though, there are plenty of reviews out there. Anyway, don’t hesitate to do business with Alvin, it’s been great.
