BUYERS BEWARE! I HAVE LOST MONEY OVER MY PURCHASE AND NOT MADE WHOLE! The purchasing experience from this establishment is an extremely difficult one and I have the chat conversations, voice messages and witness to prove. In my experience it is not the same one as portrayed in the glowing news articles about the business. Perhaps after the business partner and typewriter passionate, Claudia left, it has lost its way. I could have gone through the EBay/Carousell Route, but I give this a chance to support a small local business and paid higher-than-resell rates expecting a professional service. I found the business on Instagram and during my initial conversations with this business, the replies are curt and quickly replied. As I was looking for a Lettera 32, I was informed that there is a Lettera 32 in the color I wanted was coming soon. I was specific in requesting for a machine with two metal spools. For those in the know, the spools will affect the true and fair value of the machine. Sight unseen, I put down a 100 dollars deposit as requested as there are other interested buyers. I visited the showroom/home and complete purchasing a Lettera 32 on 19 June. I left with the machine and returned home to open the machine and find that there was only 1 metal spool. The other was plastic. Immediately, I texted the establishment, to address my concern, it informed me that the later models made in the 1970s comes with one metal spool, one plastic. I absolutely understand that these are never going to be in perfect condition but i specifically request for a machine with metal spools. That was the exact reason I decide to purchase from this establishment! After calling it out, I was informed that the issue can be resolved by providing another metal spool. At that point, the MY TRUST of this establishment is LOST. The establishment informed me I can get a refund of $300 on the night of 19 June. The establishment has blocked me on Instagram and WhatsApp shortly after this. I visited the showroom on 20 June again accompanied by a friend to be fully refunded. Upon reaching, the words have changed, the establishment claims that they have never said it would refund me. And there was NO REFUNDS. However, if I did not want the machine it can buy it back from me at $250. AS I WAS BULLIED AND GASLIT BY THIS BUSINESS, I pushed back asking for $280 hoping to get a bulk of MY OWN MONEY. It was agreed, and was given cash of $280. While the money was handed over to me, I was threatened with the words “Don’t let me see you again”. Dear buyers, ask yourself if you want to deal with a business that treat its client like this. Yes, you won’t see see me again, but you will definitely hear from me. I reserve all rights in regard to this matter, including taking further actions.
