Had one of the worst haircut experience ever with Koichi. Showed him a picture prior to the haircut for reference, and informed him to just cut the sides and back short which is a not a difficult thing to do, while keeping the middle intact with just a little bit of trimming. He then proceeded to chop off a large chunk of my hair in the middle and front, and left me with extremely short hair. If the stylist is not sure, he should take the liberty to confirm and check. Not doing his own thing and expecting it to be in line with the customer's expectation. It took me quite some time to grow my hair out, and I am extremely disappointed he just snipped off a large portion of it. Not to mention about the $70 premium treatment, which they just apply some hair product onto your hair for 10 minutes or so and wash it off. No use of the steaming machine, or having any more steps which make it quite basic and does not do anything to improve the condition of one's hair.

This is the worst haircut and experience I ever had with a Japanese Salon or a Japanese stylist. With so many good reviews, the haircut Koichi san provided tlme was a nightmare and it would be the first and the last visit. Instead of using the professional skill to cut the hairstyle, the entire process was just razoring. Koichi should know this will cause split ends to the hair. If I just need razoring, why would I pay for a professional stylist to cut the hair., I can go to any salon to do the job.. The result was the left side of the hair longer than the right for my short hair. Koichi only checked once for the side to level, my front fringe became less dense after the razoring. I feel stupid in the hai style, could you just imagine the front of the hair looks like the shape of motorcyle helmet. I really doubt the professionalism. I think I should seek a second professional stylist's advice to check if this cut is from a professional stylist. After wash, the hair was messy and fizzy due over razoring. I think a normal stylist can do a better job. What a disappointment. Furthermore, the comb was dropped twice during the cut. Upon arrival, staff never even explained to first time customer that drink was free until I was seated for almost 10 mins, then was told that it was free as I had turned down the offer. The tea was very diluted and taste like drinking water. It would not worth the 12 dollars if it is not free.

Did a cold perm and treatment with Jonas who is super lovely and skilful and gave me lots of tips to take care of my hair post-perm. Will be back to dye my hair :) thanks Jonas!

Very relaxing experience doing my hair, service was good and the hairdresser Koichi also advised on my hair and gave great suggestions even though I wasn't sure what to do with it. Great aesthetic environment to take pictures in and a good way the spend the afternoon. Their tea is also really good so I recommend you try it too :)

The staff here are very professional and the atmosphere of the place is chill and calming. My stylist was Koichi-san. He was amazing and recommended different styles to me. The cafe's staff also handed me complimentary drinks as I had my hair cut. Overall, the entire place was great and I enjoyed my time here immensely.

The environment of this Whitetree Cafe & Hair Salon is amazing, very calming and clean when I step in the cafe. My Tony hairstylist is Jonas. She is amazing as usual I am her loyal customer for about 2 years. I am so surprise with the wellness tea (Beauty Tea) served by Jade which is complimentary when you have your hair services at Whitetree Cafe & Hair Salon. Overall, the entire place was amazing. ❤️

I had a divine time at WHITETREE Café & Hair Salon. I had an appointment for Keratine treatment + design cut. Everyone there were super friendly. After my appointment I felt like a different person in my new hair do. It has been about 2 months and my hair is still in great condition! The best part was the head massage. Wow, I almost fell asleep. And also love the fact that they served free beverages that you could choose from the cafe's menu as well, I had a latte which was perfectly relaxing. Even better, there's no hard selling! I highly recon coming here if you're thinking about pampering yourself!
