3 stars for average broadband services, hardware equipment coverage, etc. Previously, my family went with M1, followed by MyRepublic, but didn't feel too fantastic to renew the contract with either, so we didn't to look for something else. We decided on WhizComm for their slightly lower priced $39 1Gbps plan, instead of the usual $39.90 plan elsewhere. Again, not very fantastic. Only the Xiaomi TV is on wifi, and whenever we're in the living room. Everywhere else, we were on mobile data. So, COVID phase 2 came about, and Singtel people came knocking on our door, and we decided to switch over to their $69.90 2Gbps plan. That's how much we didn't like WhizComm. So when I emailed in to WhizComm on the termination procedure, it was the one and only time that I have ever received a business email with bold, highlights and underline. I have to return the loaned equipment (ONR) in working condition during their office hours, or to pay $98 for lost or faulty equipment. Either way, I had to go down to the office to terminate my plan, and again, they only open during office hours of 1030-530pm M-F. So, either MC, PTO/AL or hope for flexible working hours. And, I will need to pay in full the remaining amount of my contract period. When I was standing there outside the office, waiting for them to check the returned equipment and to confirm the final bill, a guy exited from the office, having just closed his account, too. And while I was waiting, another guy came, and a lady assisted him with filling out the form and invited him inside to take a seat while waiting. And there I was wondering, then what of me? I've been standing there for the past 10-15 minutes. Is this a sexist thing? Woah, unbelievable, at this time and age. Minus another 2 stars for all this disappointment. By the way, when I signed with Singtel, the staff said that in the event of termination, it will be prorated, according to the contract, which would likely be partial amount, and not full remaining amount. And the kicker is, there will not be a need to return the hardware. And his opinion was that, other broadband companies ask for the return of hardware most likely is just to inconvenient the consumer, so that they might just renew instead.

At SGD34 per month for a no-frills plan, this is an extremely value-for-money plan for household users. After using it for a few months, I'm generally satisfied with the stability of service. What I'm curious about is a maybe once-a-week occurrence of 'no internet' connection, which has to be resolved by rebooting the modem and router. Not sure whether it's a service issue or hardware issue.

Speedtest for Whizcomms 1Gbps come out even worse / slower than M1 500Mbps. Whizcomms 1Gbps plan = Download 400Mbps / Upload 350Mbps; M1 500Mbps plan = Downlaod 430Mbps / Upload 400Mbps

One time I was about to play dota 2 with friends. They are using Singtel and Starhub respectively. They are unable to load game due to not connecting with dota 2 game due to network issues. Only myself managed to load due to whizcomms. End up I played alone. 5 stars.

I had my internet bandwidth slowed to 1-10mbps for 2 days between 5-6pm (critical closing of the workday). Not sure what happened but customer support is difficult to contact. If this persists, I may have to switch service providers even though my contract is not up.

one of the lousiest broadband service ive use in my life. intermittent connection, super slow network for 1 month plus already. resetted modem and doesnt fix the issue. gonne terminate this next month onc emy contract is up. AVOID!

I experienced a few technical difficulties during the first week and left with no internet for an entire day. However, after the issues were rectified, it was a smooth sailing afterwards. There were no problem throughout my 2 years contract. No service disruption or outages of any sort. Overall, it's value for the money at $32/month and offers reliable service. I will definitely return back to WhizComm once my current contract with SingTel is over.
