WOK HEY Sun Plaza, Sembawang

Zero stars. It took them 2 hours to cook 2 PLAIN fried rice even though it’s after dinner hours. Never faced this issue with other outlets. Absolutely ridiculous, please shut down.

Was there today at 1.30pm 24/09/21 and ordered 1 chicken ramen & 1 chicken udon ... being a chef myself i am totally dissapointed with the cooks there ... theres not a slightest of WOK HEY !!! at all ... DOWNRIGT PATHETIC !!! ... worst after my udon was done ... one cook left to have his break and went to the counter to ask another cook to fry his meal and the othercook went behind to stack some provisions ... so theres only 1 cook left to finish my second order which was the chicken ramen but to my dismay he instead cook the staff meal before completing my order ... HEY WHAT THE FISH !!! ... ... overall all your 3 cooks or chef are LITERALLY NOVICE !!! WOK HEY ??? what WOK HEY are you guys talking about its more like HEY WOK UP !!!!! ... WAKE UP !!! ... management please go down and supervise your so called CHEFS and do a proper WOK HEY !!!!!!

It's my first time trying it. It looks famous and it's like a dope chinese takeout so i thought i would try it. Okay so first thing is it's uncooked before order. Since it's not a restaurant, i thought it would be cooked and just pass over so it won't be a long waiting line. Secondly, I don't get why veg are additional $1 like bruh.. and then my whole disappointment is the price. Walao so expensive liao. I think the portion is a lot that's why. Idk for me if it's take out i would like to eat something light. And fast. Not like a whole meal to fill. Like that the price shouldn't be as pricey. It's not like the taste is as good the value. The quality of the meal. Honestly the taste was ehh 5/10. I mean can la.. but yk.. you can easily get that from any hawker stall at a lower price. "Oh so buy hawker la" okay i will coz i won't be buying wok hey anymore lmao. I'm sorry i really expected better ??‍♀️

Probably the worst wokhey store in Sg. Disappointing, subpar food, sometimes understaffed, with rude cashier staff. 1st try: food tasted so-so 2nd try: food still tastes so-so. Doesn’t taste bad, but still not as good as that of other outlets. Main problem was that the male cashier wearing spectacles was very rude and condescending. The store was understaffed even at weekend lunchtime. Waiting time was 20 minutes (understandable and I was informed beforehand) but even after my food was cooked, it was left at the packing counter for an extra 6-7 more minutes as there was no one to pack it and serve it. There were only 2 staffs, chef was busy and cashier left the stall for a while, so I patiently waited. When the cashier came back to the store, he took a lady customer’s order before packing my order. When the cashier finally started to pack my order, the lady customer wanted to continue and place more orders, so I mentioned my order number to the cashier in hopes of getting my food without further delay. The cashier stopped packing and snapped at me. He began saying things like “you say your order for what! “you interrupt me” “make me spend more time packing!” in a very rude tone and demanded me to answer him. After handing over the order, he continued to argue with me, saying things like “you see! I need to spend more time pack because of you! Why you need to waste my time!” in a condescending manner in front of other customers. I had been ordering and talking to him in a respectful manner, so I’m very shocked and upset to be treated like this. Will probably still patronise at other stores but will never come back to this particular store ever again.

This store does not provide receipt. Guy at counter was really rude. He also has an air of entitlement. Anyway, he scribbled an unreadable queue number on a tiny square of smooth paper with marker pen and handed to me. I took the paper and got marker ink all over my hands. This store only accepts cash and NETS payments. Slow service but staff sure have lots of time chatting and laughing merrily at the same time when customers are placing orders with them. My experience at the Causeway Point outlet was better. This review is my personal opinion.

Pricey, inconsistent texture, unhygienic handling order, cash (cashless unavailable) and packing the takeout. Unbelievable!

Made a mistake today when ordering self pick up from grab. Tried to contact grab for help but they are not able to cancel the order. Chosen the wrong outlet and unable to travel to sun plaza. Thinking to just inform wok hey Cs that I'm not able to pickup. But Cs Jasmine went to the extend to help to arrange for delivery instead. She was very patient n responded fast. Appreciate the help I get from sun plaza wok hey. The food is nice too. Thank u sun plaza team.

Ordered egg fried rice with scallops together with Brussels sprouts and tobiko. Ended up with one WITHOUT any Tobiko! Totally going to be 1* for this. Food wise it did taste a bit salty. Portion was so-so for the price. --- Updated rating from 1* to 3* due to service recovery following presentation of receipts and affording of a service recovery voucher by the CSO.
