As my experience this agency is very bad agency at 2013

As a first time employer, I was provided little to no guidance for hiring a helper. The agency forgot to provide me with my helper’s work permit and did not bother bringing this up (first red flag). My helper bio-data was incorrect. Claimed she worked for a Chinese family before (primary reason I hired her), but stated differently on MOM’s website when we checked. In other words, the agency did not do their due diligence (second red flag). When my helper created issues for the family despite us giving her a room, free wifi, more than enough rest in the day (she sits in her room for the entire afternoon from 1-4pm doing nothing), and have to especially buy food for her that’s halal (mind you we are a Chinese family and pre-qualified her when hiring by asking if she can handle pork and she said ok), the agency did not even offer a solution. We tried to teach her things because we have a preference and there are non-negotiables for every household, but she would always revert to doing things her way (she perfectly understands since she can follow through for 1-2weeks until she can’t) or rudely interrupt and insist on doing things her way when being taught. I had to ask and bug the agency (meaning call them often to ask where is my transfer helper). Even if there is none available there is no follow up whatsoever. Makes me wonder why is the agency fee higher than industry standards. The quality of their service is the equivalent of sending you a few WhatsApp messages to instruct you eg just buy her air ticket and send her to the airport, with little effort to mediate - in other words at the lowest with zero signs of knowing how to perform service recovery.
