β β β β β ordered kimchi ramen, at causeway point. noticed the store was rather empty since the other stores were quite packed compared to theirs so i found that a little fishy. the cashier, who was a long haired women just kept using her phone and showed a very rude face. furthermore, the soup was really spicy for some reason?? it is not how kimchi soup tastes like. thereβs a sweet, salty after taste which i didnβt really like because it reminded me of instant noodles ? paid $6.50 for a bowl of instant noodles in βkimchiβ soup? the noodles were slightly uncooked as well. very unsanitary place as well, the pots and pans were extremely dirty & oily showing that the workers didnβt even bother to wash them. do NOT buy from them guys!!! they deserve the one star overall review, preferably zero star β€οΈ

β β β β β I was at the Woo Lee Jeeb Dae Bak Korean Store at Food Republic Causeway Point. The place was rather quiet on a Sunday at dinner time. I wanted something simple so opted for kimchi noodles. It tasted a bit spicy but more sweet than spicy, no kimchi taste. Totally disappointed, not like what it tasted from the same store previously.
I made a feedback personally to the chef. He took out a small bowl of soup and asked me to try. I declined. Instead, I took my bowl of ramen back for him to try. He tried the soup and commented that that's how kimchi taste like, a bit spicy, a bit sour and a bit sweet. Then, he refunded the money to me. IS HE GUILTY ? Sunday 6 March 2022, time 18:35:38. Receipt 905078

β β β β β Ordered Saba Fish, BBQ Pork & BBQ Chicken, ordered at 12:21pm
The BBQ Pork and Chicken came in 5 minutes while I waited for the Saba Fish for more than 20 mins (only came at 12:46pm).
Food is decent but lacking manpower (only 2 staff). Advise not to order Saba Fish unless youβre willing to wait.
Will not be coming back to this Korean Store anymore.

β β β β β Viet cashier lady forgot to tell chef my order, after realizing i'm still waiting for my order they hastily cooked this. No more kimchi and what's worse is the portion and service.

β β β β β Even the vegetables portion in the bibimbap seem stingy. Tastes extremely mediocre and bland. Plenty of nicer stalls in the Food Republic than this.

β β β β β I went to parkway branch, which is located basement inside food paradise directly opposite guardian. Order the bbq pork and rice set which is basically pork and bean spouts. Good enough to fill the hunger but definitely cant satisfy your korean crave

β β β β β Standard drop! They replaced the stone with plastic plate. The lady still can told us is the same. Menu addition $1 for the stone. Not recommend to go. It wasn't my first time before that was nice. Even the free flow kimchi super nice. Now not anymore ):

β β β β β I ordered kimchi fried rice and the wife ordered Korean cold noodles. We shared a seafood omelette. The kimchi fried rice arrived without any kimchi, cashier said they ran out so it was just rice with bits of egg and onion. Fried rice was soggy, lukewarm and bland. Worst fried rice Iβve ever had.
Wifeβs cold noodles was very salty, while the seafood omelette was again bland. I hate to waste food but the food here is unpalatable. Cooking staff and cashier just donβt care about food quality, let alone Korean cuisine authenticity.
Warning to shoppers at Causeway Point: please donβt eat here. Going hungry is a better option.
