β β β β β I have been seeing this dentist since i was young. It has been more than 3 decades and he is still the most reliable dentist around who solves your dental problem with the most reasonable cost.

β β β β β Been to many other dentists but Dr Pang from Woodland Dental Surgery is still the one I will go for. Painless (at least for me who is really terrified of dentists), reassuring and experienced dentist definitely!

β β β β β Expensive for a neighborhood dental clinic. Painkillers cost $30 (paracetamol + neproxen). Fillings are expensive as well. The clinic is patronised mainly by customers with welfare card and they pay a subsidised rate for treatment. If you are not on any welfare card (CHAS, Pioneer, Merdeka), be prepared to spend a lot for fillings and cleaning. Counter staff are not the friendliest too. With the same rate as those chain dental clinic, I will skip this in future.

β β β β β Brought my dad to the dental clinic recently, had just one of his tooth extracted and cost $170 WITH SUBSIDIES in total including local anesthesia and medications. My dad also had a decayed wisdom tooth, it could be extracted in the clinic itself, but the doctor did not gave advice on what to do told my dad to visit a specialist when there is clearly no need to.
Additionally, when injecting local anesthesia into my dad's gum, I was told by my dad that the dentist inject it in such a way such that he isn't happy with the patient aka my dad, basically, not gently but slightly on the aggressive side that it resulted in a large ulcer a few days later.
When the doctor extract the tooth, I saw him resting the extraction forceps at my dad's face and used my dad's jaw as a support. (very unprofessional)
A few week later, I bought my dad to another dental clinic because the tooth extraction from the dentist in Woodlands Dental Surgery was not complete as my dad felt pieces of fragments of tooth in the gum. I also wanted to take this opportunity to extract his wisdom tooth.
Total cost from the other dental clinic was was only $150 WITHOUT SUBSIDIES, including extraction of wisdom tooth and pieces of fragment tooth left inside my dad's gum from the first extraction (from Woodlands Dental Surgery), x-ray, local anesthesia and medications
I was shocked by the difference in medical bills and told the dentists of the other dental clinic. Unsurprisingly, the dentist also agreed that the a price of $170 was high considering my dad's receive the highest subsidies from Merdeka generation.
Thus, I decided to write this review to let people know that this dental clinic charges at a immensely high cost on their patients and the standards of care is very poor.
This picture below is the fragments of tooth that were left in my dad's gum after tooth extraction from Wodlands Dental Surgery.
*Picture was taken after a few weeks later in another dental clinic*

β β β β β Not sure what is this clinic for. Cannot do extraction. Cannot do anything. Only advice. Charge me 35 dollar for 5 min talking session

β β β β β To be fair, dentist is not rude and just smiley. Yet note that it is overpriced with no proper consultantation, solution or advice. Is just commenting and the "up to you" like it doesn't make a difference. Extraction of wisdom tooth that cost $770 (include medication). No surgery done and may even have fragment left inside. My fault for not questioning, really.
Another thing to note here - You cannot claim Medisave. They don't do it.
