★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Food portion and service is quite ok. But disappointed about the 哨子面 - the thought of 哨子面 would make me drool, however, the soup base I had here is not spicy and sour enough.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Authentic Chinese cuisine. Famous for their Chinese burgers. The bun is crispy and the meat fillings are tasty and well marinated. This shop is a also well known for their Biang Biang noodles. Prices are reasonable and portions are good. Friendly staff as well.

Xi’an Famous Food
Very very authentic!
We ordered the pork cumin burgers ($5) each, it is very very filling
They are also famous for Biang Biang noodles: hand pulled wheat flour flat noodles, specialty of Xi’an. Chewy noodles and flavourful ingredients ($6 for 3 sides)
Hint: add vinegar and chilli oil to your noodles
Another bowl of noodles was Qishan Soup noodles dry version. It has thinner noodles with carrots and veges among others. ($4.50). We felt that it was better than the Biang Biang noodles.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Service staffs was efficient and friendly. Food was extremely authentic and flavourful, noodles were freshly made and in perfect chewiness. The meat burger was superb, nicely toasted and packed with delicious cumin fried meat. Definitely will drop by once again to try out their other menu items. Highly recommended!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you love garlic, tomato egg noodle and wide noodles, you would love their number 2 (biang biang noodles - $5.90). I would say that their eggs are on the lesser side but there’s alot of noodles.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The beef soup noodles taste are quite similar to those in the food republic stall and the soup is quite bland. To make it tastier, I suggest you add some soy sauce, vinegar and chilli into the noodles and it would instantly enhance the taste. The $5 portion is quite good but the beef slices is very limited. I ordered the village style shredded tofu and is actually very delicious to with a bowl of white rice. Will I be back for the noodles ? Maybe not. Will I be back for the shredded tofu? Hell yes!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ordered this chicken with potatoes dish from Xian famous food stall in Toa Payoh central. The potatoes is cooked well, soft and packed with flavours however the chicken is quite dry even they cooked in the stew pot. Maybe will come back to try their noodle instead.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Love love love this no frills Xi’An restaurant in the middle of Toa Payoh Mall food street. It’s covered all the way from the train station / bus interchange, very clean with prompt service.
We were seated almost immediately on arrival and the waitress was extremely helpful in assisting us with our order. We had initially wanted another side dish but she reassured us that portions are huge (they are) and that we had ordered enough (she was right). Shortly after making payment at the counter (cashless options available!), our food arrived. It came up to $19.60 for a chicken cumin burger, large biang biang pork belly noodles, liangpi noodles and pomelo juice in a bottle.
The biang biang noodles were perfectly chewy and absolutely amazing. I regretted agreeing to sharing this with my friend on the first bite. The pork belly pieces were also well seasoned (maybe a tad salty but who cares) and weren’t tough at all. The chilli oil that was served alongside was also divine; even as someone who’s terrible with spicy food couldn’t get enough. It added additional depth to the dish without unnecessary heat.
I’ve never had cold liangpi noodles so I was extremely excited for this dish. The noodles were also absolute perfection in texture and taste. It was definitely a refreshing companion to the hearty biang biang noodles we had.
The cumin burger was the only thing I wasn’t that keen on. Perhaps I should have gone with the pork one instead because the chicken was a bit too lean for my liking. We finished off our meal with the pomelo juice which was definitely interesting but a bit too sweet for my liking. It became miles better after being watered down by some melted ice.
