Used to go there for beer and chicken feet! I like the open outdoor set up although its no entirely in the open. Its at the junction of the maid road and can see the traffic passing by.

the variety of Dim Sum aint much, and quality of the Dim Sum is acceptable only. This place is famous more on its huge steam buns ...

Great place for authentic dimsum at decent prices. Siew mai, lor mai kai, pork belly buns are delicious - perfect for a filling weekend breakfast without burning a hole in your wallet.

They just reopened in Nov 2019 after renovation. Went there yesterday and ordered their dim sum and oh boy, what a huge disappointment! Da Bao lost its taste. Seow Mai too hard and lo mai kai is so dry! I thought it was just me but then the table ard me also said the same thing. Their Ye Zi Mei bao also tasted different and not as good as last time. What happened? After renovation, you will notice they have more choices of food, eg mutton soup, chicken rice & curry mee, etc and they put those at the prominent spot in the shop while dim sum is pushed behind. I guess they r pushing hard to promote the new things and forgotten that ppl go there for their bao and dim sum. All in all, bad moves and I won’t recommend it. Just go to JB and you can find real authentic bao and dim sum which is much better. Lastly, sad to say that I think Nam Kee is better (esp when I used to think otherwise). Really, what happened?

Used to be my favorite breakfast place...not anymore. Homemade charsiew buns have given way to mass produced factory buns which you can get anywhere. Nicely steamed chee cheong fun is now soggy and bland. New owner renovated the place into a modern kopitiam not dissimilar to 1000 of them everywhere. It is no wonder i don't see any of the regulars anymore. Plus.. Everything cost a lot more now.

Old style kopitiam that is getting difficult to find now. Known for its huge pau. It’s not too bad, but I didn’t find it much too special. Has other typical dim sum items. Think the atmosphere of the kopitiam is worth the visit.
