I love crispy toast with teh served at Ya Kun Kaya toast. Service is pretty fast. Staff is very warm and welcoming.

Wish they can be more consistent with the half-boiles eggs. Sometimes we get one quarter boiled or three quarter boiled.

Kaya toast (coconut jam on buttered bread) should be one of those things that's impossible to screw up, yet in my experience, life finds a way. Thankfully, this location gets toast, the runny eggs, and Singaporean coffee right. This is real local food.

This is not the usual Ya Kun standard. Bought kaya toast for takeaway and my office is right upstairs. To my shock, the toast wasn't hot at all, it had almost gone cold and tastes awful.

Our first breakfast in Singapore. It was amazing and service was very fast and servers were also very courteous...it's been hard withdrawing from the kopi c addiction. We bought some Kaya jam to take back as souvenirs.

Attentive and efficient breakfast service. Ah Cheng makes the best ever sandwiches in all of Yakun. I would say he is a "Toast" Master. Heh.

Wow! It did not disappoint! Must try their butter toast set. The lightly sweet kaya mixes well with the soft butter. I dunked the toast in the gooey soft boiled eggs with soy sauce and white pepper. Most important of all, the coffee is the crowning glory. Great morning Singapore!

Local folks who have been dining at the cafe may have observed the bad standards of their coffee and eggs following the re-opening from Covid. Not sure if this is due to internal cost cutting on ingredients that goes to preparation of the beverage and food or the results of the great resignation that Ya Kun could not engage trained staff to serve us the good old meal that we have always expected from the Cafe. Generally, you cannot fault the standards of the cafe (beside the outlet at Toa Payoh SAFRA which is partially operational), possibly the regulars will agree with my observations here. You decide?
