The fried chicken thigh is lightly battered, crispy on the outside and yet so tender for the meat inside. The rice and curry sauce complemented each other well. A pleasant surprise and a rare gem found!

Fried chicken taste normal lightly coated with flour and not like those you get in Malaysia, full of spices marination. Curry a little too liquidy and not that flavourful, curry from Encik Tan is much nicer. Saving quality of this dish is it is very affordable for $5 and you get huge quarter chicken for it, but overall nothing to shout about, Nasi Kukus in Malaysia is a lot tastier and authentic. Would I eat again, yes though, it doesn't taste bad but not amazing either, but it is cheap.

tried this stall from the newly opened coffeeshop that was previously house KFC. This signature dish of this stall is basically nasi kukus with fried chicken. Nasi kukus basically means steamed rice. The rice are cooked individually in a bowl in the huge steamer. Prices starts from SGD$5 onwards. Other than fried chicken, they still have a few other types of protein. Rice was a little hard and cold, but the fried chicken did not disappoint. it Although it has been sitting in the warmer for a while, the chicken remains crispy and it was well marinated. Meat was tender and juicy as well.

Yes!! Potayto Potahto’s first time having nasi kukus! Potahto was feeling greedy so he ordered a la carte fried pomfret, assam sotong and fish keropok. Yes! We love variety! Almost every component and ingredient was yummy. Especially the sambal. It’s so powerful that it can make anything that’s not yummy, yummy. Fried pomfret was Potayto’s best pick, fish was cooked perfectly - its flesh sweet and fresh, and that crispy skin with turmeric coating…???*chef’s kiss*! Must try. Minus 1 star only because of personal preferences; a) Potayto has a preference for rice to be on the harder and drier side, and authentic nasi kukus uses steamed rice which yields a loose and soft texture, almost borderline soggy and b) If Potayto can choose, she will opt for a sunny side up instead of hard-boiled egg. Runny yolk atop curry drenched rice, yums!

The chicken meat is juicy and quite tender. It's also really crispy and I love how they add the fried bits to add the crunchiness. The curry is not overpowering but nice to complement with the rice. The achar is also great and chili is quite spicy. Preparation was really fast but unfortunately the nasi dagang was not available when I was there. Would try it again next time. For a $5 plate, it's really worth it
