The "$28 treatment" is just a strategy to get customers to come over for apptn then once you are there the consultant will encourage you to sign for their package to see the result, etc etc...this kind of hard selling style business. A very common sales strategy, nice try but not for me! Thank you.

The salon has a nice ambience and was very clean. But I wished they would have gone through with me what they would be doing as I opted for the defrizzing treatment. After washing my hair, they sprayed a liquid over my hair and then straightening it out with a flat iron. After that, a sales person asked me to do a Google review right in front of her and made sure I posted so I couldn't be as honest about my experience when I first posted. The hard selling is really real. They printed out an invoice with the $28 and then 10 sessions each of $280, wanting you to sign the invoice saying that I need those 10 sessions for permenant smooth hair such that I need not use conditioner anymore. After much coaxing she gave in $140 for 3 sessions, a drastic reduction in price. But I decided I didn't want to sign up for the package so I only paid the $28.

I went for the trial with the expectation of paying just $28. I came out paying $1400++ instead. The sales consultant started off with $2200 and I was pressurized and naive which resulted in me giving in. She was very forceful and insistent as she has printed the invoice of 10 sessions before I could make any decisions. I should have checked the reviews before falling into a scam like this. I hope that they wouldn't continue to hardsell after I complete the sessions and the quality is just as good as they promised. I hardly write bad reviews but I think this can warn and help many others. Please think carefully before going so that our hard earned money is not wasted just like that.

I went for their promotion $28 anti frizz... I was told if I enroll for package I will have all the frizz vanished and my hair will be back to good condition. So took the package for 3 sitting . I got huge discount but no difference was seen in my hair. They just wash hair apply some lotion and iron. Just after one wash hair is back to same frizzy one.. You feel being cheated..

I encountered their $28 nett hair treatment on an Instagram Ad. So having made an appointment and reached the salon, I was welcomed with registration procedures to do despite my lateness. Thereafter I was led to my chair. Rochester's outlet is rather small, curtains put up to allow for privacy but I think unnecessary as movement felt super cramped (and for another reason which I would find out later on). I had 2 hairstylist attend to me and one of them gave me a thorough hair wash with a head massage (great service there). After the wash, the other hairstylist explained to me the defrizz treatment procedures to ensued which is helpful for my understanding. So far so good (service wise). Mid-way through the procedure whilst my hair was resting and absorbing the hair solution, a director hairstylist came to me and told me up front that my hair type would not benefit from 1 session of the treatment and that after I wash my own hair, it would revert back to its normal state. She proceeded to explain to me how badly damaged my hair is and how it wasn't absorbing the defrizz solution 100% by showing me to me a photo she had taken of the droplets of solution on the floor that ran from my hair (I think anyone's hair wouldn't absorb any kind of solutions or even water fully and it is only natural for liquid from the hair to drip down due to gravity?). She then proceeded to tell me what subsequent sessions I needed to completely rejuvenate my hair. She kept asking me if I had done any hair dye before(which I have not) to leverage on to explain my damaged hair. I rejected the first time and she left. Only to return much later with a 'nicely' printed out invoice of the package that I would benefit from. While she continued to explain, the 2 hairstylists just continued to work on my hair and iron it out. I had to explain that I was here just for the $28 treatment and that I needed to save money for my upcoming BTO. She didn't seem to believe my situation and that I was married despite having showed her my wedding ring. She left and returned, only to give me a cheaper deal of the same package saying that she fought for me for a "better" deal (which was still a 4 figure sum of 5 subsequent sessions). I insisted to her that I do not need this. She persisted and said that my hair really needs this treatment and ensured me that after the treatments I would not have any more frizzy damaged hair. I told her that my natural hair would eventually grow out and would remain frizzy and wavy in its natural state, so I have accepted the way it is and just wanted to try their $28 treatment. After she left, the 2 hair stylists started chatting with me about housing and life (they weren't the ones doing the hard selling) and I enjoyed my conversations with them. In conclusion, I'm glad I won the hard selling battle and left the salon with just paying the $28 treatment and nothing more. They did give me a small bottle of hair essence and told me to add it to my hair masque solution and even gave me a small bottle of water and 3 macarons after the payment. The experience made me realise how persistent these salon employees are to get their customers to pay more for more 'beneficial' packages. The curtains covering each seat to provide privacy was just a means for director hair stylists to talk to customers in private and get them on board with their packages without scaring other customers. I'm a bit shocked at how the senior hairstylists would be to ones going to customers to hard sell them while the younger hairstylists would just do the hair treatment on customers and watch them being hard sold by their senior colleagues. In terms of effectiveness of the treatment, my hair remained straight after 2 days but am pretty sure once I wash my hair a few more times, as the director hairstylist said, would revert back to normal. So to anyone who goes for these kinds of packages, just keep in mind to on-coming hard selling.

I signed up for the 28$ Defrizz treatment trail and got sucked into signing up for three sessions. The consultants will be very pushy and really tell you how your hair will look so sleek and silky once done. The consultants who will force you to sign up are great looking with perfect hair and one even told me, look at my hair, this is after same treatment. Her hair was very straight and glossy (I'm sure after many other products and services, not just this) but very misleading and unprofessional. To reel you in, they will quickly reduce prices to show you large discounts as one time offer of the day. DO NOT FALL FOR THIS! Post treatment, as they use chemical solution on your hair (they will say its organic/ natural but is not) and straighten your hair using hot iron. Post the wash, the hair is again frizzy, curly and no improvement. I have told this at the salon every time I have gone for a session, and they will keep telling you once you have sessions, only then your hair will improve. SUCH A SCAM! After my third session, when no difference, I asked them where is the glossy hair you advertised and they will tell you it is your fault, that you cannot maintain, your hair is dry/ porous, you must have used oil, wrong products etc. They will give you the blame. Once they take the money attitude changes. The head "Hair consultant" a guy with orange pink hair is downright rude and will give you no answers about the treatment but blame you. They will practically push you out of the salon and ignore you once you have paid. Do not fall for the sweet talk in the first trial session.

Omg. Why didn't I read the reviews here. I totally regret my experience. I paid $400++ for the hair treatment and I am literally sobbing my way home for being cheated out like that. I went for the $28 dollar trial and they tried to talk me into getting more sessions. But I told them clearly over the phone and appointments that I really want to colour my hair and do the treatment which many other salons have said that they can do. But I decided to try out the trial and throughout I kept asking can I colour my hair they kept saying that a senior stylist would tell me the price. So I kept believing that I would be able to colour my hair as well. In the midst of the treatment while blow drying she sells me the treatment packages and 1 hair colour treatment. Which I thought would be done right after the treatment while the treatment is ending the other staff said that they cannot do the colour and made an appointment other day. I felt so cheated walking out. I feel so cheated even now, I took so much effort to actually make it on time for the appointment and in the end its nothing like what I wanted as I really wanted my head coloured before my birthday. I just feel downright cheated. Such a scam.

Absolutely disappointed! Had the De-frizzing treatment trial yesterday; they said the results would last a week, but my hair was back to being frizzy the very next day (as can be seen in the 2nd pic) The sales staff was quite frankly pretty annoying! She was incredibly pushy and borderline forceful about selling the entire package. I would most definitely not recommend this treatment! If you want silky straight hair without an ounce of frizz, I’d say you’d be much better off getting a Brazilian Blowout, Japanese Hair straightening or soft/volume re-bonding.
