First time to try and gonna be the last time as well. The dish looks nothing like what’s shown on the signboard. Tasted very normal and not to mention it was very small pot to start with. Felt ripped off for $8. If they continue this standard don’t think gonna see them in a couple months.

Very delicious. Can taste the smoky flavours of crusty rice. Generous portion of ingredients. Recommended

$8 for $1 worth of ingredients. Incredibly expensive for mediocre rice with gravy in a claypot vessel. The rice they use is pretty cheap as well with no fragrance. Lacks all the toasty charred goodness in a claypot rice. Don't waste your time and money here, all the awards and accolades are clearly for the original branch and not this. The chunks of chicken look generous until you realize it's not boneless chicken meat chunks but meat with big pieces of bone, so the meat amount is sad.

I am kind of disappointed. My expectations was rather high when I got to know that it is a famous stall from ABC market. Anyway, the following are my justification for a 2 star rating. I had ordered a 1 pax claypot rice and a deep fried prawn roll. 1. Firstly, for a 1 person serving at $8.00 I reckon it is kind of high. Plus self service my friend. Customer need to pick up when it is ready. Compare to Blk 283, which is near by, Bao Fa Traditional Food stall $6.00 claypot rice for 1 pax serving, Bao Fa Traditional is more value for money. And they serve it to you at your table. 2. The deep fried prawn roll completely no taste at all. I hope the owner see my review and please try it yourself. Please take my words for it. I came from a Teochew cuisine chef and restaurant family. I know how it taste. Those sell at market pre- cooked just need to deep fried at home would taste better than what they had served me. Totally waste of my money. 3. I thought claypot rice one of the key ingredients is salted fish. So where is the salt fish smell and taste? Totally don't have. For $8 totally no salted fish at all? Blk 283 Ba Fa Traditional Food although Just $6, there is a bit of salted fish taste and smell... So... It really amazed me. 4. The chicken bones are huge. Almost like 40% bones and 60% meat. Yuan Yuan boss, want to cut cost also not like that ah. The chicken meat was seasoned just nice and it is really tender. For that I have given it the first star. 5. I had given the 2nd star to the rice. They used charcoal to cook the rice and the rice have this very nice char favor. The only pity is there is no salted fish at all. 6. The service can be better. I think it is 8pm and probably the staff are all tired. I ask for 2 bowls and the staff just point to be the stack of bowls. No a single words from him.. and he just turn around and walk back to the stall. I was like er...... Overall, don't bother to try at all this Yuan Yuan stall. If you are near there and wanted to have Claypot rice, please walk to Blk 283 coffee shop. They have a 2 pax claypot rice at $10 only and with service and salted fish ah...

Heard so much about the stall, decided to give it a try. Rice are well cooked and aromatic. Reasonable amount of ingredients and the meat are tender. Chilli sauce is good. The rice crust is nice. But, the down side is, You mite bite into small pieces of bone fragment found in the rice. Which the one preparing the food should take note of. Still room for improvements. Definitely, cant compared with the ABC main stall. Still worth a try.

Who else loves the golden crispy scorched crust (guoba)? ?‍♀️ Tried the signature dishes from the new stall at Bukit Batok. Founded in 1982 by Uncle Seah, Yuan Yuan Claypot Rice has since expanded. ? ??????? ???? ($?) Made using fragrant rice cooked in homemade slow-boiled chicken stock over charcoal fire. This dish requires a good control of the fire. Ingredients include marinated fresh chicken in hua diao wine, salted fish, lup cheong, and liver sausage. It is served with generous amount of secret homemade black sauce drizzled over. Best enjoyed with the chilli ? ? ???? ????? ????? ????? ($?) Homemade and freshly fried upon order, the prawn rolls are crispy on the outside and firm in the inside. A side dish that is great for sharing! ? ???????? ?????????? ($?/$?) Enjoyed this flavourful milk cabbage (nai bai) dish with shallots. Although you won't see Uncle Seah preparing the claypot rice anymore (the trade requires long hours of standing, heavy lifting of claypots and facing extreme heat), his son who is the current owner has been helping out at the store since he was 12. The second gen hawker, Raymond, gave up his full-time job to continue his father's legacy despite the hard work ?? To continue the legacy even beyond his time, the owner decided to adopt apprentices and this is the first stall open by his apprentice! With dreams to expand locally and overseas, do support the owner and his apprentices to help spread the name of Singapore food! ✨ From the reviews, it does seem like consistency is lacking so hope that this can be improved. ? This is the second outlet for this claypot rice. Serving size was for one person only. The ingredients were fairly generous. The chicken was very well marinated. However, the rice was a bit wet and the worst of it was that the chicken part was not cleaned properly. Parts of the feather were still on the meat (see photo). The basic standard to me was to be at least provide clean food but this did not happen for this stall. Hence, no matter how good the flavor was, if the food was not cleaned properly, then it’s meaningless to rate it.
