Fatty Weng (肥仔荣） - 273 Bukit Batok East Ave 4

This Fatty Weng stall has a history of serving carrot cake and fried oysters in Bukit Batok since the early 1990s. Before moving to Blk 273, Fatty Weng was operating at Blk 155 Bukit batok st 11 together with fish soup stall. The standard wasn't like before when Fatty Weng himself was behind the wok. But overall the standard is still above advantage. They are still very generous with the egg and the oysters are fresh. The flour is very smooth and a healthy version of fried oysters. I love my fried oysters more char... More crispy so eventually it will be slightly more oily... Hahahaha .. I felt that the wok hei just short that little bit but overall the flavors are all there. For $6 a plate I felt is rather expensive but this is a newly renovated coffee shop, I guess the rent is high too... Overall, it is won't the taste. Go their weekday evening, the Q is shorter and the waiting time is around 10 to 15 mins or so...

Yummy fried Oysters! One of the best i had! Not dry and soft eggs. Not too salty and oily too! ???

The fried oyster here is delicious. The egg is yummy, it’s not too oily but still packs a lot of flavour. I had it as takeout so it wasn’t as fresh, but it still tasted good even having it a few hours later. I’d recommend trying it if you get the chance.

Wait for the stall could be long (20-30 minutes) during peak hours. Carrot cake was out of stock on the evening I went. The fried oyster (蚝煎）was above average. Good mix of egg and flour though some parts were abit uneven. Oysters were quite fresh. Chill was good. I would say give it a try if the queue / wait isn’t too long.
