Very badly cooked salted egg chicken. Long waiting time and bad tasting food.

Simple meal at yummy kitchen in pasir ris hawker centre. The fish steamboat is simple for 2 pax only. The food that cooked here is 家乡菜 ????(4.5) my personal review is good food.

?️ Salted Egg Chicken with Rice @ yummy kitchen $5 ? Fried chicken bits in a decently aromatic salted egg sauce. The curry leaves, chilli and onion add a spicy kick and cuts through the creaminess of the sauce. ?The fried egg is nicely fried with runny yolk for u to mix with the rice.? ?️ Sweet & Sour Fish Rice @ yummy kitchen $4.50 ? The fish slices are nicely fried and goes well with Sweet & Sour sauce. ? The egg is fried to crispy sides and runny yolk.? It's a "balanced" meal overall as you have your fruits(pineapple),vegetables(cucumber and capsicum) and protein(fish and egg). ? ?️ Hokkien Prawn Noodles @ Yummy Kitchen $4 ? A decent plate of fried Hokkien Prawn Noodle from a #tzechar stall. Just enough to satisfy the craving. Their chilli paste is nice and spicy. Their broth is nice and u can smell the fragrance from the egg. The ingredients includes egg, prawn, cuttlefish and bits of fried pork lard. It's missing the pork belly this time round though. ?️ Yang Zhou Fried Rice @ Yummy Kitchen $4.50 ? To be honest, I've almost forgotten how a normal fried rice should taste like ever since the short grain rice (Ding Tai Fung and king of fried rice) changed the fried rice scene here. Fortunately, we still have zhi char stores who keep their fried rice traditional. ☺️ The fried rice have enough Wok Hei and is generous with the ingredients. It has shrimp, chicken, luncheon meat, char siew and egg. I'm not kidding when I say u can taste all the 5 elements in every bite! It's like the ingredients are proportioned perfectly with the amount of rice to make sure u have all the ingredients at the same time every mouthful. Really solid plate of salted fish fried rice. Great wok hei and flavours that was simply but well executed.

Tried the salted egg chicken rice. Comes with a fried egg. Much much better than expected from this simple stall. Interesting dish on the menu is the fried yam. While waiting for my order, noticed that the other items on the menu looked good. However, this stall is ran by 2 people and can be extremely busy during peak hours, given that there is only 1 cook and every dish involves some amount of cooking unlike other stalls. Worth a try and I will be back to try other dishes.

The food centre at Pasir Ris Sports Hub haas been opened for quite some time but we normally dine at the 1st floor & dun really bother to go up to 2nd floor until recently, our favourite stall was closed so we explored the place & found this stall - Yummy Kitchen! The fried prawn noodle, fried mee hoon & the dish with rice are all yummy & reasonably priced but the prawn paste chicken is average only. Too much flour & cover taste of the meat. The stall owner &/or staff are not friendly so for that I decided to rate just 2 stars.
