Pretty decent mlxg around bkt batok. Able to customise 中小辣 ?? value for $$, $20 is good enough for 3-4 pax. Beef tripe tends to be overcooked, too rubbery. Boon keng branch still does it best.

I've tried a few mala places and would say this is the BEST mala xiang guo I have ever tried. The taste is just on point on all levels. On top of this, they offer FoodPanda delivery too (although it gets a little difficult to find them on FoodPanda). The wait time is not very long, would always order milk tea to go along with the mala in case it gets too spicy.

A bit spicy, strong taste but shiok mala in west area. Chose veggies, tofu and chiken. The price was S$9.80 for the one in the pic. Good mala.

Have personally been a loyal customer for over 3 years now (eat at least twice a week consistently) and I have been observing how this stall has been consistently producing same/similar taste every visit. The best selling dish would be their ma la xiang guo (fragrant spicy pot) where customers pick and choose the raw ingredients (meat, vegetables, shrooms, etc.) and have them cooked and served on the spot. Suitable for hardcore spicy eater; their spiciness level is a notch above other brands. As a gauge, I eat Samyang red (x2 spiciness) rather comfortably. You will sweat if you order big spicy (there is one more level above big), medium is more enjoyable but spicier than most mala stalls islandwide (per accounts from mala kakis). If you never try this stall, start with mild spicy. Their taste is strong with no numbness (no Chinese peppercorn), which depending on chef (2 chefs) can have ever so slight tinge of sweetness. Without mentioning competitions (which I tried of course), I wholeheartedly recommend this stall :).

This Mala Hot Pot Stall is seemingly popular in the area with queues and crowds over meal time. This stall not only sell Mala Hot pot but they also comes out with a few china specialty dishes on their menu. The price of hot pot items are consider more reasonable that the food court in the mall nearby. I'm not a fan of Mala Xiang Guo and I had it ordered with the lowest level of spiciness. Selection of the items are definitely in a wide range The amount of rice is generous and overflowing the level of the small bowl till it can be shared between 2 pax. Although little spiciness was used in the Mala Xiang Guo, I still find that its a bit spicy for me thus I'm sure I cannot tolerate their usual spicy level for the food. Like most Mala Xiang Guo, the bowl was topped with roasted peanuts and spring onions with the selected ingredients toosed in the chilli and peppercorns. We ordered some of the dishes on the menu on top of our main order. The shredded cabbage tasted pretty home cook with slices of pork, cabbages and dried chili. Shredded cabbage 手撕包菜 - $5 I love tomato fried egg as such combination is fragrant and sweet with a little bit sourness from the tomato. The dish is tasty but was on a drier side. Tomato Fried Egg 西红柿炒鸡蛋 - $5 Taste in overall was not too bad and price for all items from this stall is relatively reasonable in the neighborhood. For those who enjoy Chinese dishes as well as Mala Hot Pot, no harm giving it a try here.
