★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 144 Brew Kopi coffee shop have a variety of Tampines food to eat from Zi Char, Carrot Cake to Ngoh Hiang. We ordered coffee and the roasted Nanyang Kopi tastes good, thick and rich.
The Hokkien mee is indeed very tasty, each plate of Hokkien mee is loaded with yellow noodles and thick bee hoon, drenched in a thick, umami stock. We also find the sambal chilli a good mix, not too spicy with a squeeze of Calamansi lime for extra fragrance.
While the Hokkien mee is typically more savoury, we also tried the carrot cake, a traditional Singapore favourite. We like the Wok Hei taste of carrot cake cooked just right, soft and fluffy with lots of egg.
