Always a great vibe, super chilled. Big fan of the vibe of the library too. The food is also pretty solid in the restaurant without being spectacular.

Very nice members club with great cocktails and service from the bar staff. Warm and inviting plus well priced food and beverage. Defiantly with a visit!

1880 is a private members only club for dining in the Inter Continental Hotel at 1 Nanson Road next to the historic Singapore River. I went for a private Christmas lunch and didn’t have a chance to check out the place properly. The entry from the street level was typical for a conference hotel with the typical escalator zigzag two flights up. I went up the escalator to the 3rd floor, I was shocked with the darkness and the fake stars that covered the entire low tunnel up. The first sight was from the disco era with round shiny metal doors which swings out from the hinge which is 3/4 of the diameter of the round doors. Just think of the Hobbits! It didn’t get better. After trying to get my eyes adjusted to the dark 3rd floor ride up, I could not open the doors!! No handles and no idea how to open the doors. Banged on the glass doors and trying to remember how the Hobbits opened their doors!! Rescued by a very kind tourist! The foyer wasn’t any better. A really tacky display of towels, pseudo tropical items and etc greeted me. I couldn’t look at them. The item which killed me was the cheap white plastic Christmas tree, which I thought was a fire hazard and had me looking for the emergency exits! The private room was ok. Nothing to write home about. What killed me was the sound system which was way too loud to hear any speeches. The speakers had been blown up by high volume and emitted a very nasty scratchy noise with the Christmas carols. Ugh!! Food was a bit below par. Not what I expected from a private dinning club. Ordered the risotto with shaved truffles and turkey for the main course. Safe and what can go wrong?? I can say that if turkey is cooked western style with stuffing and potatoes , garlic stir fried Brussels sprouts a la Chinese wok was a shocking jar to the taste buds.

That’s a private place and really nice to workshop or negotiate. Pretty dark design, but very rich and comfy. Great atmosphere, very good food. A lot of interesting people around. Serve good cocktails and Impossible foods.

Fantastic place. Entrance is hard to find, but once inside the ambiance is amazing. Menu is broad and food tastes amazing. Staff are incredibly accommodating.

First time here and was definitely blown away by the grandeur of the place. Service crew was absolutely lovely to be around, and we had such a wonderful Saturday afternoon. TV and Robin both helped us very much, which made our dining experience even better. When we accidentally broke a glass, the crew was very attentive and changed a table for us right away. Steak is good. Desserts were amazing. Alcohol selection on point. Great job team 1880.

Fabulous Saturday night of drinking & dining in a gorgeous space. The party vibe was both energised and inclusive. The food was sensational & delicious.

Fantastic food here at 1800, the dishes are well made and have intresting textures and complexity. We came here for a cocktail event and was actually impressed with the dinner service here. Easily we will be back again for the food ??
