2D1N SOJU BANG KOREAN RESTAURANT - 46 Tg Pagar Rd

Underrated restaurant and really like the format of seating in the place and owner is very friendly and very easy going. Interesting guy to talk to. Fried Chicken taste amazing with the sweet hot sauce and love the side dish peanut and seaweed given with it. Came in at 1030pm cashier was closed but owner was still very nice to allow us to order for takeaway and chitchat with us while waiting for the food. Will definitely come back again to try out the bbq next time!

The place was not crowded for Sunday lunch. Side dishes and Korean pancake were pleasant but the meats were really tough. Whether it is because the frozen meat was not well thawed beforehand or otherwise, I shall not speculate. But the final taste was not delicious and ready to bite into. Instead the various pork belly, shoulder and spare rib as well as the beer short rib were a tad chewy and tough. Not the best meat eating experience.

So this happened when we went to 2D1N Soju Bang @ Tanjong Pagar road. There’s this streak of unidentified brown stain in all of the lettuce served. Highly suspicious ? in my opinion. Every dish was an unmitigated disaster including the service. Pressed the service buzzer thrice but nobody really came to serve us, had to walk out to call to their nonchalant service staff. The kimchi pancake, sundubu-jjigae, $40 200g galbi (definitely a scam with the 8 pcs of small, measly underseasoned beef - I seriously doubt that it’s even 100g) are all bad. The only items that are acceptable: the plain ice water and Makgeolli. At this point, there’s really no point of giving feedback to the staff as it is evidently that nobody gives a damn anymore. They even stopped taking credit card payments? Big red flags ? and signs that they might be shutting down soon. This place used to serve decent food and is one of the pioneers of Korean food along tanjong par, so I really wonder what happened. Steer clear of this place unless you’re want to self sabotage and wallow in self pity. Overall, 0/5.

Ch!na/Viet people run eatery. Expensive and NOT authentic. Their fried chicken was tasting like garbage! Meat marinated taste awful! Disgusting. Regretted booking this restaurant. Want AUTHENTIC Korean BBQ, try other restaurants along Tg Pagar better!

I was abit disappointed to be honest because this place was where I came with my best friend buddy and "niece" (both poly mates) about 15 years ago. Re-lived my memories on this good ole korean BBQ. Today i visit again with my fiancée to try relive the buffet 2D1N while the other time was just ala carte downstairs. Buffet was ok but I just find last time the meats were mostly marinated etc. Now seems only spicy chicken and its running low on the selection and seems no top up (maybe cause of no crowd?). Drink selection is wide but can't find ice. Soup the scooper was trapped inside the steam so its too hot to hold. The side dishes were all cold and not really nice. When payment also no visa or master. The bbq is still running on the old school battery kind which needs be changed. Nowadays many run on gas or electric. To be honest, the food isn't as tasty as before if I were to pay this price and can get it from any other outlets on this hot korean selling street. So i give 3 star is on regards of visit this place since 15 years ago.

Food very average only, I personally think the meat is not fresh and not tasty also very limited choices. Could have covered the raw food when no customers, had a diarrhea after eating here. $25.80++ Only accept Paynow or Cash

It's not really worth the price. The food and service isnt that great either. Was offered only one bottle 500ml of water to share among 4 people???? Not quite the kbbq service I was expecting A small bbq set costs 108, meat wasnt marinated well and didnt hace quite good cuts

We had a really long wait to get in, but it was worth it. Good food, tasty meat. The watermelon soju punch is amazing!
