8 Medi-Aesthetics Centre (Clementi) - 41 Sunset Way

Saw an ad on instagram and decided to try out a carbon laser with them, was thoroughly disappointed with the whole experience. Firstly the doctor was totally unprofessional and used a toothpick to touch areas of imperfection on my face, while using them to reference images on the computer (touching the computer screen). He was also upselling very hard. I said no to all the upselling and decided to stick with a normal carbon laser. It gave me acne the next day. Won't ever come back, not even if the treatment is free.

I paid for $128 for hydrating facial (Cold bar facial) Expensive and nothing special. I could just pay $28 for first trial at FAV. Regretted.

It was a good session after all. Vicky who attended to me is very professional . However, would prefer to not pay for any package due to my schedules.

Came for the $30 for 2 sessions of Diamond peel, but I'm all prepared for the upselling. After the Consultant analyse my skin (suggestions: please disinfect the analysis wand before and after each customer use), suggested Hydrating Facial will be more suitable for my skin. $68 1st trial session, which I think still ok so go ahead with it. The facial is not too bad, skin do feel more supple, but the massage is very short and it does not extend to the chin, neck or shoulder (this really breaks the deal for me). The partition of the room is also very thin you can basically hear everything happening outside, so it's not very relaxing. Lastly the most dreadful part for almost all customers, the post consultation. The package is quite reasonable at $98/sessions for 10, but I really don't like packages, so when the Consultant suggested I can do the same trial again, I do want to consider but the Consultant's attitude has already started to change, probably she may not be aware.

Decent ambience at the spa. I went for 1 session of the luminous back peel due to some light back acne. I was expecting it to be a back PEEL, as the name suggests. Even a week to 10 days after the session, my back did not see any PEELing. What I did feel however, was a back burn during the session. Which I was obviously prepared for, as it was supposed to be a back PEEL. Despite the burn, I did not see any results after the session. My back looked EXACTLY the same after. So I'm not at all motivated to go back for any additional sessions. For me, this was a money down the drain experience. Note that at the end of the session, they also make you sign a form that says that - they will NOT give you a refund under any circumstances. Basically, because they want to let themselves off the hook for the lack of results. I've not had to do anything so bizarre at any other spa/salon ever. Don't recommend.
