★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had a great time with Squall learning the process of using his camera, and rejigging my memory of the steps behind the dark room procedures since highschool! Squall keeps me at ease, answers all my questions as we could go on for longer than the 1hr slot, and enjoyed his genuine hospitality not only his technical knowledge! I was afraid of not having a photogenic day, but it turned out alright and loved my birthday gift from a close friend :) Would definitely bring others along for another shot! Just wish we could get more than 2 takes.

Getting to pause with control and thought while having our two photographs taken was such a meaningful experience in contrast to social media’s instantly gratifying snapshots. I also enjoyed the behind-the-scenes and watching our negative films come to life.

Was a really cool experience and we had fun. The photo taking session was awkward for me and my partner but Squall made us feel more comfortable so thank you for that :-) so glad I booked 3 months in advance for the class

Unique experience watching the photos being developed in the dark room while Squall explained the process as well. Highly recommend!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This was a fantastic thing to do. Starting with a warm welcome by Squall, the photographer then slowly coached us into what we needed to do. We were always made to feel comfortable and top it off, we got to watch some of the behind-the scenes action in the eponymous dark room.
While not new to someone my age, it felt like a brand-new experience all over after what seems a lifetime in a digital culture. Here, the human meets the art and the science in the flesh. And you get some nifty photos too! A fun, immersive and eye-opening experience!

Would have given more stars if I could. Definitely go back again with friends and family! Highly recommended so please book a session without hesitation if you are reading this ??
