trusty spot for dessert; yam sago is really just milk and yam bits and we found the mango sago quite ordinary too. Still a good ambience and good supper spot since it opens til late

What was supposed to be a dessert place aka sweet ending to dinner became the nastiest experience due to the staff “allocating” tables/seats to customers. Better to visit other places for desserts instead, or save the calories altogether. My family, consisting of 8 pax, had visited the place at 8.30pm and there was still quite a number of empty tables (there was no queue whatsoever). But the lady (seen in pink in picture) refused to sit us at the larger table bcos in her words, it was a table for 9 pax and our group is only 8 pax. The other tables available were for 7 pax and she had apparently seated groups of 10 at the table before. In addition to the refusal, she wanted all of us to be present (we had come in different groups cos we went to toilet) and to SIT AT THE SMALL TABLE OF 7 TGT FIRST, before she move us over to the larger table. This is despite her seeing that a few of adults are bigger than average. And then after we suggested to split our group, she allowed us to keep the original table of 7 first. And a few minutes later, asked us to move to another table bcos “this table is for groups of 7, and the other table is for groups of 4. So bcos you’re a group of 4 now, you have to move”. Attitude of the staff was extremely horrible as she kept talking down to us by saying that we are not listening to her/letting her speak. But she was repeating the same thing of how we should sit first and she would move us thereafter. Bcos of all these moving around before we even looked at the menu (are we nomads?), we decided to leave and visit elsewhere instead. It isn’t like we were being unreasonable as we had visited Ah chew many times in the past and understand that there would be a long queue. But in this instance, there were no big groups in line and there were empty tables. TLDR: the place wants you to have desserts in some uncomfortably tight settings (shoulder to shoulder with your group) despite there being empty bigger tables

Good dessert place. Had the Grass Jelly with Longan and it was great, not too sweet (personally). Desserts are a bit on the pricey side, so not some place I will frequent just for a dessert regularly. But definitely a choice if eating with family and friends.

Never coming back again. Really the worst service ever. This is the second time we got our order wrong/missing. But no remorse, no paiseh, just complacency. We ordered 5 takeaway desserts, they said all orders were in the 2 plastic bags they gave so we trusted and left the shop. We lived not to far away and we took the public bus home. So when we arrive home 20mins from the moment we ordered (we had to wait for our order to be prepared), we found out there was 1 order missing. We called to clarify (they thought it was a grab order) and we said we just left the shop not long ago. Their first response was “You left more than 15mins ago, too bad we can’t do anything.” We we’re extremely dumbfounded and said we paid for the dessert how could they respond like that. The next thing the staff said “My boss do not allow a refund.” This was beyond shocking - no apology, no offer to ask us to return to pick up the missing item, plain rude. We just told them we are going to come down to the shop to pick up the missing dessert because we got it for our parents. We had to make another trip down and a trip back. When we picked up the item, they were reluctant, we had to show the receipt and photos of what we received before they said the staff is preparing the missing order. No apologies at all. If it was my parents, they would have brought back all the desserts and asked for a refund. This brand had a lot of nostalgia from my younger days dining at Bugis, I guess it shall not be anymore. ??

Had this Durian mango sago. So rich, sweet and creamy, while adequately accompanied at the same time with a suitable level of tartness. The queue may seem long, but the waiting time overall isn’t. Friendly service crew too. Highly recommend.

Terrible experience. We had a small table for 3 in the pathway. Funny the venue describes itself as relaxing place for dessert. The wooden stools aren't relaxing at all and the service is not pleasant and not welcoming. There's a notice to ask the clients to not stay over 30 mn I would say the only advantages are the vast variety of dessert at affordable price. We ordered a D2, G10 and Ice cream. The Ice cream arrived half melted

A good Chinese traditional desert spot that was recommended by friends. So, we ventured there on a Saturday afternoon and it takes some Google map navigation to find the stall in Goldhill Centre as the construction hoardings around it makes it difficult to find the shop. Verdict: Better than the ones served at Hawker centres but not that great!

I rarely do desserts but when I do, I always go to ah chew☺️ they offer great range of desserts to choose from. Lucky we arrived early, this place get more crowded at late night. My go to dessert is watermelon sago, simple yet flavorful. I was a bit disappointed by this dish that day, the watermelon was plain and somewhat too ripen…
