Nice bowl of soup! The soup is really great and the price is affordable for the portion and ingredient.

Tried the Signature Bak Chor Mee ($4.50). Served in a claypot, it was one of the most satisfying bowl of BCM I've ever tried. It was chockfull of ingredients - several fresh self-made meatballs, slices of pork skin, 3 large wantons and crispy bits of pork lard. (ask for more of it!). The piping hot soup (said to contain no MSG) was very flavourful - I drank it all up. It's served slightly peppery, so do taste it before adding more pepper. Return visit for me for sure. They even give a coupon to get 30cts off from the sugar cane stall nearby.

CLAYPOT BAK CHOR MEE???! AH GONG MINCED PORK NOODLE Yes. I'd tried it. Mdm Lee prepared the ingredients as early as 6am and ready by 1030am. She insisted to handmade all ingredients from scratch including fried shallot, pork lard, meat ball etc. Her persistent of NO MSG had pushed her to improvising her soup base to another level. Prices range from $2.50 - $4.50. As a Pork Lover, I order the $4.50 soupy type. It tops with much ingredients like handmade Meat ball, minced meat, pork lard, pork skin, wanton etc. (Guaranteed you will finish the soup). When is the last time u bought food without MSG? I had mine today. Take Note. Her rest day is on every Sunday.

Unique bcm on claypot. Ordered $4 version dry. Chilli is too spicy for me, noodles done just right. Soup is tasty, will come again to try soup version.

Finally get to try this Craypot bak chor mee. Decided to try their Signature bak chor mee. Noodles texture are great. Serve with fresh ingredients and tasty soup without MSG. The pig skin texture is good, not too soft. Tasty handmade meatballs and wantons. Not forgetting their crispy pork lard too. Stall owners are really friendly. Range from $2.50 to $4.50. Its value for money. Highly recommended!

First time eating here after online hype on 8days and OGS :) The lady boss is super friendly and nice, when I asked for more soup she said I can have more with no guilt as she did not add MSG. Even asked me how was the noodles ? ? Would say its one of the cheapest and value for money BCM as the amount of meat is crazy generous for $2.50. Its also filling. Lady boss emphasised she kept the prices low so lower income people have food to eat which is so kind. Flavour wise, it is extremely heartwarming on a cold day. The claypot retains the heat and keeps to a good one portion size. Soup is not very robust and strong like other minced meat noodles, but light and fragrant. The fried shallots and pork lard gives an elevated aroma. Texture of the meatballs I was expecting it to have the bounce like the processed ones in supermarkets. But it is is purely made from minced meat so it breaks apart when your teeth sinks into it. Personally liked the soup one more than the dry version of the noodles! Vinegar is at the side for you to add if you want :) Price ranges lowest at $2.50 for minced meat noodles, ans dumpling minced meat or meatball soup is $4. Total cost of my 3 dishes here is $10.50 Opening hours are limited to 1030am~3pm Mon to Saturday!

Maxwell Hawker Centre is famed for many things, among them a Michelin Chicken Rice that the late Anthony Bourdain claimed the rice is good enough to eat on its own. I have my favourite elsewhere for that but recently read about a Minced Pork Noodle that sounds like a check it out if you're in the area. Passing by, usually my go to is the Amoy food centre, but pass 2pm usually not much is left. So thought I would give this a try since they open until 3pm. Checked in, oh great, looks like they still offering the full menu and while customers stream in time to time there is no queue and your orders is fulfilled with a short wait. Ample, clean seating available at 3pm unlike peak lunch time here. I just want a small portion to try and I am pleased they still offer $2.50 noodles. Its pretty much unheard of in the CBD. Uncle and Auntie run this outfit, and the stall look clean, organised and welcoming. Given that I ordered the lowest priced offerings, there's no shortchange, my offerings were presented in a claypot, with a separate bowl of clear soup, help yourself vinegar and cut chilli. Alright get a seat and Tuck in. On setting down the order, the bits of pork lard and the minced pork is so beckoning, Come Eat Me. Stirring the thin Mee kia noodles, I can smell the lovely fragrance of vinegar and pork lard, always a good sign. The savoury sauce is a fine balance of savoury and light lard oil. The minced pork is fresh and clean tasting. The Mee kia noodles, with no alkaline taste, is cooked just right with enough bite and the savoury sauce coated the noodles well with the occasional lard bits offering crunch and porky umami. Add in some chilli padi for some extra kick and this is a seriously good bowl of minced meat noodles. The pork bone soup is also flavourful and light, a lovely side to the dry noodles as being served in a claypot, while it retained heat, it might turn the bottom noodles dry, no matter, stir in a spoonful of the broth and you're ready to dig on. Finally, in an unorthodox Japanese Ochatsuke fashion, near finishing my noodles, I poured the soup into the claypot to capture the remaining lard, savoury sauce and remaining minced pork bits, makes for a satisfying finale. Mind you, it's definitely not the best Bak Chor Mee to write home about, but for the price tag, I definitely am coming back. It is a light bowl of minced pork noodles that satisfy you with fresh minced pork, clean tasting pork soup without being too jerlat.
