Delicious and good value - $3.50 for a 1 person set without add ons. Duck wasn’t overly salty and tough. This is the very definition of comfort food. The auntie serving was very polite and organised too. A lovely find in a quiet estate.

Plus points for also having decent kway chap. Tried duck rice, large intestines and cabbage. Satisfying, but I much prefer the (literal) sister outlet in Gardens. Interestingly the style is quite different!

There is always a queue during lunch. Duck meat is tender it’s go well with the sauce and rice. Ordered the pig organ soup. It’s peppery flavor to crave esp during raining days. They do sell kway chap and will come back soon to try?

Good braised duck but everything on the salty side. Upsized kway is huge so better be hungry if you order the big kway. Would like the stall to be more liberal with the chilli sauce. Price is on definitely on the high side, but hey everything is becoming more expensive.

Stumbled upon this stall by accident, attracted by its long queue, so came back another weekday earlier (11:40) for lunch. Ordered braised duck rice, add on "pig's head" and lo han cabbage, for $7.50. Old school taste for sure. must say the food exceeded my expectations, the braised duck was succulent. There was a nice lingering after taste for the braised sauce after meal. to try their kway chap next!

One of the best places for Kuay Chup. However, be prepared to wait at least 30-45 mins even after peak hours. I’m not the sort that likes to wait or queue for food but this is one of the few that I would.

Ah Seng - Serangoon Central I have read about it and I had high expectations. I love my Run Ji (already sold…sob sob), Ah Heng, Heng Gi, Kovan A1, Ying Yi at AMK, etc. I took my first bite and pondered. Took more and continued to think, the duck is not as tender as the ones I have eaten, the braised pork belly was a little disappointing. Perhaps I had my expectations set to high. For me, this is really average. There are so many good duck rice around, so it probably gets close to the good ones, these are like Ming Ji (Serangoon North), Ming Fa (Lor Ah Soo), even Kovan’s Koon Seng, or Yu Kee Chain, so the conclusion for me, this is pretty average. Maybe I will give them another chance but I still think it’s likely to be one that I will eat if I am nearby and craving for braised duck, not one I would travel for. #foodreview #serangooncentral #braisedduck #ahhengeats

Came here for Mr meehoon kueh, too bad it’s closed and replaced by a shabu shabu stall. Not my first time trying Ah Seng braised duck. It used long queue but surprisingly today no queue at all .. i ordered duck rice $3.50 , add on lettuce ? and one duck “liver” (not sure the name) cost me $5.10. The price was very affordable Taste wise.. meat was tough, not tender (different with last time i tried) and “liver” tasted salty. Cabbage was bland , only the chill was outstanding! Not sure why the standard has dropped.. maybe that explains why no more long snaky queue like Seng Kee bak Choi mee.. ?
