Finally made it to this popular “training” restaurant in the ITE West to try their meals. It was served by the students and the meals were also cooked by their students. Do note that it is only opened 2 hours for lunch (12-2pm) and dinner (6-8pm). There was only 4 choices of set menu offered, and at 1pm when we were there, it has only the Chinese option left. As we are not a fan of olive rice, we both went for the beef stew noodle. The set was sumptuous, came with some prawn crackers (instead of bread), mop cocktail, water (still or sparkling), soup of the day (salad as other option), main dish, pre-desert and desert of choice. Most of the dishes were the creation of its students. Generally, all of the foods were good. On the beef stew noodle, there was a lot of beef but it was at the salty side and not soft enough as stew. The noodle was excellent nevertheless. The desserts were simply excellent. For only $15 per set, this was certainly value for money. It was also glad to mention that the staffs were very well trained and even as students they were better than many trained professionals in the restaurants outside.

Fantastic! 3rd time here. A hidden fine dining in ITE West. Amazing food, cheap price. At the same time the students that under training have the chance to learn the real experience by serving us.

I had an enjoyable dinner at Amber west, a student restaurant located at ITE west. The meal was quite worth it at $35 nett; the stars being the strong cocktail, warm bread, soup, chicken and dessert. Service was sometimes rough since the waiters/waitresses were trainee students but they were attentive, brought out the dishes fast and cleared the table quickly. I would visit again when the restaurant is reopened next year. ?

The students and their mentors put in a lot of sincerity and effort in serving the patrons with a good dining experience. Plates are attractive and food tastes great!

This place is a gem, one gets to enjoy fine dining and yet friendly on your wallet. You can choose either 2 or 3 courses from the menu which comes with a free mocktail. Coffee is extra charge at $2 per serving. The students were very eager to please, closely supervised and attentive. Our party of 4 ordered different mains and desserts so that we can see and try different dishes. The only disappointing dish is the seafood laksa pao fan which my friend felt it was underwhelming with too little ingredients and uninteresting plating. Other than that, the bread was delicious, appetiser of rojak was light and fresh, oxtail soup is the clear soup type, not creamy but tasty. The catch of the day, seabass was good, so was the beef cheeks. Special mention for chicken tikka which was flavourful and surprisingly tender despite the breast meat. Desserts were all delicious and went well with coffee and tea which was rich and aromatic. Plating was beautiful. Mocktail however has plenty of room for improvement. To me it tasted like soda water. Overall good & Highly recommended.
