β β β β β Great experience studying here. Subject tutors are detailed and patient to imbue concepts, including those that may be daunting on some. The environment here is great, with friends being very neighbourly and everyone in one way or another priding the selfless spirit NON MIHI SOLUM. AJC is an unmistakable choice for many prospective students.

β β β β β The facilities may not be the best but it is certainly one of the most traditional and conducive place for study, from my experience as a former student. As the saying goes, don't judge AJC just by the college building.

β β β β β Great college with very caring and chill teachers, and also a chill atmosphere compared to other colleges. Close proximity to YCK mrt making it very accessible too.
Campus needs an overhaul which is gonna happen very soon thankfully.

β β β β β I am currently a JC2 student in this school.
Facilities-wise, the campus is decent, although it is quite old. Our campus has five lecture theatres, a three-storey library (although two of them are now staff rooms due to SMMs), a multi-purpose hall, an indoor and outdoor rock climbing wall, a makerspace room, a laboratory, a canteen with reaaally nice food, an air-conditioned hall, auditorium and classrooms, a tennis court, and a stadium. The toilets are really clean here - the cleaners spend a massive effort to clean early in the morning before anyone arrives.
The teachers here (at least the ones I've encountered) are really helpful and approachable. They take the effort to help you during consults and engage you during lessons.
The students here are really welcoming too. Those who went through Orientation can testify to this. There's no animosity or rivalry between students - everyone is just here to have fun.
Many students worry about our "mugging" culture. Truth to be told, the A-Level requires loads of studying. I personally don't see why many people worry about this, especially after having gone through one year of school. Every school will have their own group of muggers, and ASRJC is no different, but we also have a really diverse and warm-hearted student population here.
I really don't regret coming to this school. However, there are some things to be wary of, like the lecture theatre tables being very easily knocked over. That being said, I don't think that's a deal-breaker.
Thank you for reading this review! :D
