Thank you Dr Tan very much for treating my sinusitis. Plagued my entire life by blocked nose, cough and frequent infections...... Dr Tan is very gentle, patient and skilful. Thank u for taking time to explain my condition and treat me. Always feel so much better after each treatment. The staff are all also very warm, helpful and efficient despite the clinic being bustling each time I go. I have recommended many friends to Dr Tan and all of them always rave about how he is the best and sweetest doctor ever. Thank you Apple ENT!!!

I must say that I had a completely contrasting experience to the previous reviewer. Dr Tan is easily one of the best specialists I have visited in Singapore. I had brought my 4-year old daughter to visit Dr Tan on 11 Jan 2021 to seek a second opinion on her clogged and infected ears which another specialist had told me that he will need to sedate her in order to clean her ears. I am very reluctant to have my girl sedated for something as simple as "clogged" ears, which is why I decided to seek a second opinion from Dr Tan. It was my first visit to Dr Tan. I explained the situation to Dr Tan and Dr Tan checked my daughter's ear. He empathized with my hesitation to sedate my child and said that he will try his best to clean her ears on the spot. I applaud Dr Tan for doing a fantastic job. Not only did he bother to entice my girl with sweets as reward if she lets him clean, he spent close to two hours cleaning her ears thoroughly. I am very grateful to Dr Tan for making a complicated situation simple for me, and he did it in a way that my daughter will not have a phobia for doctors in the future. It was my first visit to Dr Tan and considering that he spent close to two hours, I was expecting the bill to be at least S$1,000. I was very very pleasantly surprised that the bill came up to S$600. I am not saying that it is cheap but for two hours of a specialist's attention on a delicate part of a young child's body that could cause permanent damage if it was not done skillfully with the utmost diligence, I cannot complain about his professional fees. Thank you very much Dr Tan!

K Yap I was recommended to Dr Tan by my colleague who is not a patient of Dr Tan but has heard many compliments about him through friends and colleagues who were his patients. Before Dr Tan, I consulted a couple of ENT doctors who suggested surgery for my condition. I was scared and chose to ignore my condition. When Dr Tan gave the same diagnosis as other doctors, he could sense my self-denial and fears. Dr Tan patiently listened to my fears, addressed the many misconception and assumptions I have regarding the surgery / treatment and gave me the security and support I needed to face my medical issues. I was touched by Dr Tan’s sincerity, he truly wanted to ensure that I do not delay treatment if the condition is a serious one. During each examination, Dr Tan is gentle, attentive and skillful. He does not rush through each consultation but takes time and care to explain things thoroughly. He makes efforts to lighten the moods whenever I am seated and ready for the endoscopy. With his reassuring words, I know what I am experiencing is ‘normal’ and will go away. Dr Tan's comments such as his young patients also went through the same procedures actually eased my anxiety and made me more ready to face the treatments. On a couple of occasions, Dr Tan even asked his patients in the clinic if they could share their surgery experiences with me so as to allay my fears. There was practically no pain post-surgery and the removal of the nose packing was a breeze! There may be many ENT specialists with superb skills like Dr Tan but Dr Tan has set himself apart by going the extra mile and truly serving from his heart. The recent 1-star rating of Dr Tan driven by anger and high bill is definitely not a balanced and fair review of Dr Tan’s medical care. My husband and I have witnessed Dr Tan’s passion for the job and his great commitment towards patient care. I am deeply grateful to have Dr Tan and his team to be with me on my medical journey. I came to Dr Tan for a second opinion mid-2020 for a ear infection that I had. Dr Tan had the expertise to be thorough and efficient in his investigations, and was able to not only correctly diagnosis and treat my condition, which was a serious middle ear infection, but he also took the time and effort to explain to me and my family the possible causes patiently and clearly. He was able to answer the numerous questions that I had in a gentle and patient, and professional manner, taking the extra effort to find diagrams and pictures from his computer just to illustrate a point. I really appreciate the extra mile he went to help me have better knowledge of my condition even though I was new to him and just one of his many patients. How many Doctors are willing to not just simply prescribe medication, but spend extra time to explain the rationale for doing so to you? I am someone sensitive to pain. Procedure and treatment wise, Dr Tan noticed my discomfort with the initial nose scope and took efforts to reassure and ease my discomfort through the anaesthetic and his kind words, which I deeply appreciate. He made the entire procedure as painless and comfortable as possible. For subsequent procedures, Dr Tan was always gentle, thorough and transparent in his rationale behind why he was doing such things. He was able to successfully treat my infection, its complications and causes, which had been plaguing me for months now to the point my hearing has been affected. I'm in a much better place now. Apart from that, I also appreciate Dr Tan's genuine interest in helping his patients and his effort to remember small things about us and our families. For someone well-decorated in his medical achievements, Dr Tan is also very humble and down-to-earth, friendly and likeable, with much humorous banter that puts one at ease. Additionally, I also want to thank his clinic staff for always efficiently replying my text messages for questions that I may have. I also remember my very first appointment there, it was almost lunch time and because I had to do some treatment that took some time, I was getting very hungry. Dr Tan's staff offered me some bread to eat! I was very touched by the kind gesture. I am impressed by the quality of service that Dr Tan and his staff provide. I am still on follow up with him as of today, and I would recommend his ENT services to my family and friends. Keep up the excellent work:)

I was referred to Dr Tan to treat severe sinusitis in March 2019 . After several non-invasive treatments failed to improve my condition, I had Dr Tan to perform a 4-hour long surgery to clear all mucus in my sinus. When my family and I watched the videos of the surgery, we could really tell Dr Tan was skillful and very meticulous in the whole procedure. As the earlier infection had spread deep into my sinus area, I experienced infections many times after the surgery. Each time when I visited Dr Tan, he always tries his best to clean up the mucus inside my sinus so that I could feel better when I leave the clinic. He makes me feel that I am not "fighting" this sinus enemy alone. During the Circuit Breaker, CB period in 2020 when seeing doctor was quite a hassle, I had few episodes of infections and needed to clean my sinus areas more frequently, I was grateful that the clinic was able to take me in. Without Dr Tan's support, I cannot imagine how I could overcome the sufferings from phlegm, mucus irritations to my throat which led to sleep problems. I must also credit the helpful, professional and friendly staffs working under Dr Tan. I will give their service levels thumbs-up based on my many encounters with the ladies. To me, Dr Tan always put his patients well-being first. I would like to thank Dr Tan & the clinic for all their attention on my case.

Amazing doctor with great passion and care for his patients. From the daily queue you can see he is a professional and experienced practitioner. One feedback is if the clinic can respect the patient’s time it will be perfect. Made an appointment at 10am and still haven’t get to consult hours later. This seems to be a consistent issue from the waiting area patients complains. Front counter staffs also looks disinterested to explain or empathise - again this seems like a recurring issue. Cancelled my future appointments with this clinic due to this sole issue. With better scheduling efforts it will be perfect!

I was referred to Dr Tan by my GP for my headache. He has been very detailed in this diagnosis of my problems and under his professional care, my headache has since improved. His commitment to patients include having to be be at his clinic during Sunday to administer treatment. Recently I had been in an out of hospital and after consulting Dr Tan, was diagnosed to be having problems with my nose, tonsils and thyroid. After various scans and diagnosis, an operation is unavoidable. Dr Tan discussed the details with me and I agreed to proceed with the operation which lasted almost 5.5 hours. Looking back, although the road to recovery was absolutely painful, and the post consultation and treatment is numerous, the decision was not wrong. Six weeks after the operation, I sleep, breathe, eat and function better and there has been marked improvement to the value of my life which without his professional care, I would not have known what is happening to my system. The clinic staff is also commendable as they helped process necessary E-filing for patients to make insurance claims, something not commonly seen in other clinics. They are all very experienced being with Dr Tan for many years. The clinic sees patients through lunch as they vary their lunch hour and Dr Tan himself have short lunch breaks. I sincerely hope Dr Tan will remain in service to help the sick and improve the value of life to those who needs it. That is his mission that God has bestowed on him. I’ve went through at least 3 times for abscess and cyst surgery in other private hospital and would like to say respected Dr Tan NG surgery is really skillful and professional.
