THANKS AUTOSTRASSE FOR A GOOD LESSON ON SERVICE. They have shown a sterling example of what NOT to do. I don't do reviews but my experience today have evoked me enough to spend 15 mins thinking how to share this experience with other potential victims. Background: I've been using Autostrasse at a recommendation of a friend for the last 2-3 years and have easily spent more than 10-20K on repairs and services. I'm an easy client, and also quite lazy. Once I find one, I don't change. This morning, I wanted to find out how much is service for my car (coz its been pretty expensive in the past) and also sought advice on a repair. I was a little surprised by her first reply: "I don’t think it’s the first time you’ve worked with us. It as simple as bringing your car in during the agreed time and we work on it.". Hmmm. Woke up on the wrong side of the bed? I've done work there before. But am I to memorize or bother to retrieve old quotes? Probing further, I asked about the repair for labour charges, his reply: "Messaging back and forth not really productive.". Mind you this was only a few messages.... She had only sent 3 messages prior to this very "polite" message. And proceed to call me. A man picked up, Gregory, the owner. He proceeded to tell me off for unproductive messages. And impatiently said, just send the car and he will advise later. Obviously, my cars and my all my friend's cars will never get to Autostrasse from today. I went to another reputable workshop recommended by another friend, and their quote was a whopping 33% lower!!!! The listed manpower rates was 50% lower!!! Its a good lesson for me today, about being lazy and trusting. This Autostrasse reminds me of the sitcom Seinfeld's Soup Nazi. The soup shop's soup was so good, he dictated who got to drink his soup that day. Well, today, I don't want your soup Autostrasse. Gregory and Jennifer, you gotta consider your attitude towards your clients. I don't think I was ever rude, unreasonable or nasty in any way towards you folks. A bad day at home or at work, would not be an excuse to lash out on us. Also, please don't fleece us. Some people like me are not so diligent in getting alternative quotes, don't fleece us. We are easy, but I HATE CHEATS! By the way, the $8000 repair on my cabriolet has failed within 6 months. So buyer's beware....

There is something to be said for AutoStrasse’s automotive IQ and tenacity. They have been able to help me find and resolve car issues that even official dealerships cannot. I appreciate the TLC they treat my cars β€” they clearly care for the cars that come to them. My cars always come back in tip top condition; other workshops i’ve used before tend to return my car with small nicks. Good work guys!

Another great job by the team at Autostrasse! This trip to Autostrasse included some investigation into an annoying squeal and squeak aside from the usual service. The bill was spot on with the estimate provided and the car was ready a day earlier. Greg managed to cure the annoying squeal i get occasionally on rolling speeds. Instead of swapping out the shocks and changing the bushes on the arms, he chose the β€œless invasive” route by replacing a few mounts at a fraction of the costs of going the route of changing shocks or bushings! Very much appreciated. Thanks for keeping me posted on the work as it progressed. Took the long route home from Autostrasse after picking up the car! No guesses why! Great job!

1989 C4 owner. Classic car owners know that problems are part and parcel of owning one. Unless it is a garage queen, problems will surface when they are used. I had tried a few other workshops before, and deemed them 'good', as they got the job done. The symptom was fixed. Yay! happy for a while, but then it comes back again.... Then, I was recommended to give Autostrasse a try. Game changer for my car. Greg's approach was to find the source of the symptom, and fix the actual cause, rather than fix the symptom. There will however, always be some problems that can never be fixed completely (anyone who owns and regularly drives an air-cooled will know that oil leaks are part and parcel of owning one). Since then, my car has been under Jennifer & Greg's care (over 6years), and through that time, gremlins that were tough to track down, were actually tracked, and solved. Am extremely pleased with the quality service that the team deliver. Greg and Jennifer both will go beyond the call of duty to ensure that your car is well taken care of, especially when you make an appointment for your car. Their integrity and professionalism is hard to beat. Saying that, unless the workshop is packed full, they will try and help sort out your car's issues, but they will (understandably) have to turn you away if they do not have the manpower to attend to your car, as they believe is doing the best job they can for their customers. Autostrasse is not a big workshop, so it is limited in space and manpower. Call in first to make an appointment, so that space and manpower can be allocated to your car. If you go in thinking that you can rock up without an appointment, and expect your car to be fixed instead of their other cutomer's cars? Well, then you might be better trying another workshop. They may be a bit pricier than other workshops, but you get what you pay for. Penny wise, pound foolish, especially for old cars.

I own an Audi S5 and a Porsche Panamera, and Autostrasse has been taking care for them for the past 8 years. The cars have had their fair share of problems that are not easily solved, but Gregory always manages to determine what caused them, and suggest cost effective ways to repair or replace. He's got a good technical ability to tackle faults that official agents cannot solve, and he's also patient with explaining what causes these problems. Jennifer is always friendly and efficient when arranging appointments, collections, and help with car towing. Going to the workshop is always like meeting up with old friends. The mechanics are friendly, always with a greet and smile. The workshop setup is orderly and clean, and my experience there has never been short of stellar for so many years. Highly recommended, if you want personal attention given to your car and knowing what kind of work is done for your car and why.

Agree with many folks, service is lacking. Simple courtesies would benefit the business much. Spent many thousands but still feel like second rate client. I do sense that they are pure transactional. V much agree with other reviewer that it’s pay me, take car, and F off. German arrogance.... makes me feel sad. Too bad Porsche workshops are always full. Their customer service is better. Work quality is acceptable. Seeking alternatives.... any suggestion for Porsche workshops would be appreciated.

I am running two old 911s, and have been to my fair share of Porsche specialists. I have been going to Greg and Jennifer for two years now. Prior to that, I have tried various independent Porsche specialists. Autostrasse was the only one who could solve a persistent problem with one of my cars - which the other specialists could not solved. Greg and Jennifer took the car in for a day, for an assessment, called me back the next day with a quote, and the car was ready on the third day. I find their service top notch. They are friendly and honest. They do have limitations in terms of space and capacity, and I sometimes have to wait for a slot. However, they are organised and keep to their time lines. As for their prices, I have no complaints at all. I do not find them more expensive than the rest. What is important is that they solve the problem in a professional and efficient manner. I have utmost trust in Jennifer and Greg, and will not hesitate recommending them.

Autostrasse is not my main workshop as I already have a comprehensive warranty with another workshop. Through recommendation, I did a semi car spray before Which after I went further with a engine mounting swap as I was having some issues with my volkswagen comfortability, however still uncertain what was the main issue. I am glad that Jon from Autostrasse manage to pinpoint the issues and made genuine suggestion and really did a through check for other possible problems. Including some screws which was missing at the bottom of my car and a leak absorber in one of my suspension system, after trying out my ride. Which all my problems are solved at the end of the day. Knowledgeable Jon is a extremely patient guy, not pushy and always with a thorough explanation on what could be wrong about my ride really made my day and brought further confidence to the workshop. Jon and his team handle my issues professionally, which was way way better then my primary workshop. Price was similar but service level was on a whole new level. Not to mention, they really took great care of my car.. Esp the hygiene segment which I am very OCD about. They wrap the steering and seats and sanitised + basic wash my car after all repairs are nicely done up. It make me feels really safe as a customer. Also while waiting at holding room, a nice lady came up to the room, offering me a good quality coffee, and it came as a surprise for me.. Which I greatly appreciated. Other staffs were really friendly as well, which really made me feel at home. Please keep up the good work. My car officially will be primarily maintained & handled by Autostrasse officially from now on and no body else although I have remaining warranty left with my previous primary workshop. My whole personal experience serves as a benchmark on how other workshops should take references from when conducting their checks and services.. Esp how customer are handled.
