Bali Thai (Ngee Ann City) - 391A Orchard Rd

It was good mix between Bali - Indonesia food and Thai food. The food was great. The tahu telor was great. Satay, maybe chose chicken one will be better compared to beef. Nasi goreng istimewa was special. The prawn was a bit expensive. There were 5 prawn and the price was $26++. The taste wasn't that great. Ordered a bit too much for 2 people and 1 kid. The waiter asked if want to be spicy which was most important. Sometimes forgotten that my kid never eat spicy food.

A pleasant ambience to dine in during weekdays. Overall, the food was sumptuous.

came down to the ngee ann city outlet and was extremely disappointed with the food and menu. i placed an order for mango sticky rice and young coconut but they were sold out, ask for alternatives and got tapioca and sage gula. so i asked the staff what was the dessert of the day and the staff said they do not have that. what is the point of putting it on the menu when only 2 out of the 6 desserts are available. i tried to accommodate to what was left and ordered sago with ice cream and oh my! to my wonderful surprise the ice cream was SOLD. OUT. what is the point of opening a restaurant without the food you have on your menu? apart from that you’d expect the bare minimum of edible food but wow! even with my expectations of this restaurant set at rock bottom, the food was so horrible it broke my expectations. even the food my 5 year old cooks had more effort and quality than this. the fried rice we ordered was pretty much oil + rice tasteless and oily, our mango salad was so ripe it couldnt even be called a salad. when i asked the male service staff all he could give was an embarrassed and disappointed look on his face and apologised. the amount of effort the chefs and the management team of bali thai has put into this restaurant is just astoundingly bad. the only redeeming factor was that the service was at the very least, something you’d expect from a restaurant. definitely not coming back again and will warn my colleagues to stay away from this mess of a restaurant. the staff here should seriously reconsider their careers and the potential/ regular customers should perhaps find a better restaurant to meet your needs.

Never had such tasteless fried rice before...restaurant wasn't full because of 2 pax dining in restrictions yet service was slow. One customer had to look around multiple times before she managed to get the attention of the manager. 3 staff who are probably part-timers just hid in the corner of the kitchen/service area playing around, squatting on the floor. Ask for water from one of the staff and he nodded but went into the service/kitchen area and shouted that he is going to the toilet and left without any follow-up on my request. There was rice on the bench seats. Only saving grace was maybe the manager who had to run the show all by herself, taking orders, processing payment, checking safe-entry etc.

Bought two sets mango sticky glutinous rice and two tapioca for my family. Tapioca is nice but we did not consume one of the glutinous rice as it was hard with more than half the portion, the rice seems uncooked.

First time at this Bali Thai and I ordered their nasi keluak or something. Nothing fantastic but still worth a try. But maybe you can share cos it’s a bit too much for 1 person. The 3 of us didn’t finish what we ordered. Nevertheless, a good halal Thai/Indonesian restaurant to visit when you’re at Ngee Ann City!

Service staff was good and attentive. Nasi and Pad Thai was not that much tasty as expected. Tom Yum was good. Prices are Ok. Good to try.

We waited 40 mins for the first dish ( honey Chicken ) to arrive. But lo and behold, it's as if they just threw 5 honey chicken on the plate and served us. The fish only arrived 1hour later. We had only ordered on 2 dishes. I'm not sure what's the hold up. And the place isn't even filled yet. Very disappointed with the food and time taken to serve us 2 dishes.
