Came to Basdban for lunch and a mini birthday celebration with colleagues, everything was impeccable! Lovely staff and delicious food. Their popular Sichuan specialty dishes is really unique - the Lala Fried Chicken was tasty and a great dish to go with drinks, the Sichuanese Skewers was like ιΊ»θΎ£ζ±€ with a right amount of ιΊ»θΎ£, and the Basdban Donabe was a non-greasy claypot rice dish we enjoyed. It was a delightful meal and we'll definitely be back for more to try the rest of the food and drinks! If you work around Telok Ayer, highly recommend to go try Basdban.

I really like it. Usually sichuan food makes me jelak after awhile, but all the signature dishes I ordered here are so good that I didn't feel jelak and wanted more. It's however just a tad salty and quite pricey for the portion. But do treat your taste buds here when you can. Its worth the trip and I will come back again.

Good ambience, prompt service. The food is Sichuan style, with some spicy options. Tried multiple dishes, can recommend the salmon sashimi with funky sauce and double baked cheese cake. Ox tail OK but no standout. Paid 120 SGD for 3 starters, 1 main, 1 dessert and two coffees. Overall recommended. (Do note: Basdban opened in the same spot as 51 Soho. All reviews from TheFitnessTheory downward still refer to 51 Soho. The grain bowls and skewers are no longer on the menu.)

It’s a good place for group fun. But I was there for dinner and I would say the food is only passable and a bit overpriced. Ordered ox tail (very boney but I like the yuzu salad dressing), skewers steeped in mala broth (very decent Sichuan dish; the meat balls juicy, vegetables crisp and I drank a bit of the soup) and cheesecake (plating is good, but the caramel coating was over burnt towards the border) the service was adequate. Overall not matching my expectations for food. Food is 3, ambience and service are 4

second time to this place and the food is really good! what get the 5th star is the flavour bombs... the thin slice of garlic and spring onion of the 辣子鸑 - flavour bomb, soft bean curd on skewers - flavour bomb. Claypot charred rice with waxed meat and edamame - flavour bomb. wear your socks tight next time you come here, and prepared to be blown off your socks.

A friend strongly recommended this place so i brought my friends from overseas here without even trying myself. Food has its own surprises. The Sichuan flavors are given a twist in every dish. Do book directly with the restaurant instead of doing so through chope. this way u can request for indoor seating. Thr outdoor dining experience made everything felt lesser. But the staff are unspeakably attentive and very knowledgeable of the southern culture of china. 5 stars.

Went for a meal with my friends and it was a delightful and memorable experience. The restaurant serves Sichuanese food with a twist, incorporating different cuisines into their dishes. Service was impeccable, the staffs were friendly and proactive as our glasses of water were never once empty and they were quick in reacting to our needs throughout the entire meal. We were spoilt for choices by their selection of drinks we decided to let them be creative with their drinks and serve us their creation. We were impressed with what we were served and the staff explained to us in detail the drink’s concoction and the flavour profile as each glass was served. Restaurant was quite generous with their food portion and we strongly recommend getting their signature fried chicken (B-52/Lala variation) and the Barramundi en Papilote. We were also each served a glass of plum wine on the house at the end of our meal. Would highly recommend basdban and would be back to try out the rest of their menu.

Spectacular meal at basdban with impeccable service. The flavours of every dish were different and left me wanting more. Especially the roasted eggplant with cheese and popcorn, which seemed strange at first but it worked so well we ordered a second serving immediately. The fish covered in green chillies was an off menu item by the chef but it was so insanely tasty, hopefully it’s on the menu soon. Chef and the staff were so lovely, will definitely be recommending lots of people to come here. So goooood!!!
