It has the right location, right clientele (heartlanders) and a long-established brand-name in Singapore. Bargains galore greets a browsing customer with irresistible offer. That's what made us decided to buy a pair of sandals. But turned out to be an unpleasant experience. The choice is easy and paying was straightforward but asking for a printed receipt was the downer. The cashier was "crystal" clear that it was ab unusual request from her perspective. A brusque "you cannot return or exchange" inherent native North Asian accent. She pointedly refused to do so despite explaining ww just wanted to record our card spendings. It was after a protracted hassle that she printed the receipt. We left feeling mutilated and humiliated - which was uncalled for. Anyone been in retail or worked as a cashier will now the CRYSTAL clear practice that every transaction must result in a printed receipt - especially single item purchases.
